Not in this century. The word butch means a masculine looking woman at this point just like gay no longer means happy in any modern context. |
DP. So you'd be a-ok if a Republican called, say, Laphonza Butler "butch"? How about Becca Balint? |
Aww. No one's home to help you read, I see. |
Yeah no. But if that's your belief, it's fine. |
Don’t start nothing, won’t be nothing. MTG went there first and got her ass handed to her. Now BBBBBB is going to follow her forever. ![]() |
It would have been during daytime hours if a bunch of GOP committee members hadn’t been in court in New York kissing the ring. |
You misspelled “all.” |
No you don’t, because when you’re not longer President there’s another President. |
Disagree. I think “butch” is used in two different contexts today: (1). In the LGBT community, it is not a put down. The word may even be used to describe someone in a positive, favorable way. (2). In the broader community, it is used against women (gay or straight) as a put down or to be offensive. Crockett was using it in this context. |
But the point is having a masculine appearance or mannerisms. Women who are straight can and have been called butch. It's not homophobic anymore than calling a man effeminate is homophobic. And men who are straight can and have been called effeminate. The connotation that a butch woman is lesbian or an effeminate man is gay is very dated and no longer common usage. So, while it may be considered offensive and insulting, it is not homophobic. |
Former president. That is what you might be called in an article. You are not called president x to your face. You are called Mr X (or some day Ms X) Emily Post confirms. https://emilypost.com/advice/addressing-a-former-president-of-the-united-states#:~:text=When%20addressing%20a%20former%20President,ex%2Dofficials%2C%20as%20well. |
yes, but dont you also think that when you see women with huge fake eyelashes and usually long fingernails , from what culture does someone think that looks attractive?? |
She implied MTG has a butch body. She didn’t call anybody butch. |
Apparently American culture. Women of all races choose to wear those hideous eyelashes and long nails. |
^ that is correct |
