Somebody's bleach blond, bad-built butch body and fake eyelashes

I'm hoping they get up and beat the s outta each other next time. Let's get the party started.

And Crockett is homophobic.

The definition of butch is having a masculine appearance or mannerisms. Has nothing to do with one’s sexual orientation.

DP. I don’t think Crockett was implying that MGT is a lesbian, so I wouldn’t go so far as to say she’s homophobic. But, she was clearly using the term as a put down - implying that there’s something wrong or unattractive about a masculine looking woman. It’s really not a word you’d expect to hear in a congressional hearing.

Nope. No one calls a man butch.

Stop trying to defend the indefensible, lefty.

The heck? Of course they do. You probably don't know any.

She wasn't going to stand by and be a doormat. MTG started with the invectives and the GOP sided with not enforcing the rules. Hence Crockett's response. It was meant to be provocative to make the point.

I’m really disappointed in Comer for not shutting her. He was running the proceedings correct? That is what gets me about the R party: they want to simultaneously act like they are on the moral high ground, yet they are turning our government into a sideshow.

As for MTG, she stands for nothing except herself. She says/does things for shock value. She’s like a mom who wears a thong bikini to the town pool.

You're right. She should've called MTG a straw-haired foot face instead.

Look none of this was acceptable. It’s embarrassing. But AOC, if I saw the whole thing, was the one who tried to maintain most composure. “Baby girl, don’t even play”was just a little street coming out. Sometimes we can’t help it when we get mad. She really did try.

She really did and as she pointed out, MTG pulls some variation of this all the time. And to add to that, Comer doesn’t even appear to know the committee rules.

Republicans just want to destroy everything.

DP. MTG is awful. But the bolded is frankly hilarious, considering all of the things Democrats have done to damage this country.

Interesting. Like what exactly? Name two or three of these things.

Seriously?
- disastrous withdrawal from Afghanistan. Not the withdrawing itself, but the chaotic and horribly planned way in which it was done.
- the disgraceful border. Enough said.
- lack of punishment for serious offenders.
- pushing through student debt forgiveness, i.e. requiring taxpayers to foot the bill for other people's degrees.

Oh, sorry - forgot you were only asking for two or three things.

DP. Remarking on Crockett's eyelashes is hardly "invective." It was rude and unnecessary. But Crockett went way overboard in her response.

What is MGT value proposition other than getting attention? Where is the substance? This shall pass when we stop expecting entertainment from our politicians.

Oh you mean what AOC has long built a career in. This is hilarious, because all AOC does is try to do zingers for Twitter and TT while get nothing of substance accomplished.

AOC is substantive. You’re letting your misogyny and disdain for working people cloud your judgement.

Oh, good grief. AOC is an annoying lightweight whose idea of "substance" is wearing an all-white outfit and red lipstick while fake crying at the border over imagined "concentration camps." Spare us all. DP.

https://www.nbcnews.com/news/amp/rcna152698

“ The hearing was derailed when Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene, R-Ga., responded to a question from Rep. Jasmine Crockett, D-Texas, by saying, “I think your fake eyelashes are messing up what you’re reading.”

It was all down hill after that.

I guess no one is calling crocket out for a homophobic comment

Exactly. Homophobia and racism are cool as long as you have (D) by your name. Get with the program. Calling a woman “butch” and implying she looks like a man, and that these are bad things, is something to be celebrated if you’re a Dem. Get with the program.

Can you imagine if a Republican had called someone "butch"?
