Oh come on....they don't because the school does it....I highly doubt this is because they are somehow choosing some high ground! And, I also assume STA has a tight clamp keeping their boys from making an Insta page.

nope. It's just never been done and I don't think anyone wants to be the first.

You clearly don’t know how D3 recruiting works.

Trust me I do (U of Chicago AND Wash U STL athlete mom here) I do know how it works

All of them do. They are transparent.

Where I’ve never seen that can you link?

It has the sport listed for athletic recruits.

The Sidwell list you provided is run by students and it does not include all students. They opt in, they choose whether or not to report sports.

The Georgetown Prep school site does officially announce where kids are going. Very few schools do this officially. You are comparing apples to oranges.

Also - when looking at any of these lists - you should assume that the vast majority of T20 admits have a hook. You are mentioning sports, but there are also legacies, VIP, and target populations the school would like to have in their student body.

I have no dog in this fight;Holton-Arms page is run by the school, they state the sport. I guess this is more apples to apple..both single sex schools and the insta decision page is run by the school.

LOL - as a former grad student at JHU who worked with a couple of Lax players via a volunteer program to tutor/mentor students ( all students, not just Lax) - you do NOT need to be ULTRA smart to be a Lax recruit at JHU

And you honestly believe that the school leadership and messaging has nothing to do with the idea/feeling that no boy wants to be the first?

Our FCPS school does.

How nice for you. I was talking about private schools. I didn’t think I had to spell that out in the private school forum, but here we are.

LAX at Hopkins is like Football at Alabama. It's true for men's lacrosse. My spouse went there (not a lax player, different sport). They recruit heavily and their LAX program is D1 (meanwhile their other programs are sports programs are D3 and strict on academics).

I know baseball and soccer players that were told they needed a "35 ACT" and As in certain APs--even though it's TO now.

^meaning, yes, the academic requirements for top LAX recruits there are lower---that said, from a sports perspective, getting recruited to play LAX there is highly competitive.

Yuck! Mine was an Ivy recruited athlete at Holton ten years ago. She would have hated everyone posting their info like that.

As if he won't need to use his brains to pass his classes in college too? This thread WREAKS of jealousy and hate. If you don't like Prep, why comment on them? Just ignore what they have going on and focus on the schools that meet your laundry list of "doing things right"......according to you.

Exactly. There is a sick group of haters on dcum for Prep and other Catholic schools. It is quite striking.

Oh you poor victims. Boo hoo.

If STA can control what its students post on social media that is an amazing accomplishment
