nope. It's just never been done and I don't think anyone wants to be the first. |
Trust me I do (U of Chicago AND Wash U STL athlete mom here) I do know how it works |
Then he is ULTRA smart and an excellent Lax player. |
I have no dog in this fight;Holton-Arms page is run by the school, they state the sport. I guess this is more apples to apple..both single sex schools and the insta decision page is run by the school. https://www.instagram.com/holtonarms2024?igsh=NmZicmZ4Y3Bsc3ht |
Way to out yourself there. |
LOL - as a former grad student at JHU who worked with a couple of Lax players via a volunteer program to tutor/mentor students ( all students, not just Lax) - you do NOT need to be ULTRA smart to be a Lax recruit at JHU |
And you honestly believe that the school leadership and messaging has nothing to do with the idea/feeling that no boy wants to be the first? |
How nice for you. I was talking about private schools. I didn’t think I had to spell that out in the private school forum, but here we are. |
| cry more, peasants |
LAX at Hopkins is like Football at Alabama. It's true for men's lacrosse. My spouse went there (not a lax player, different sport). They recruit heavily and their LAX program is D1 (meanwhile their other programs are sports programs are D3 and strict on academics). I know baseball and soccer players that were told they needed a "35 ACT" and As in certain APs--even though it's TO now. |
^meaning, yes, the academic requirements for top LAX recruits there are lower---that said, from a sports perspective, getting recruited to play LAX there is highly competitive. |
Yuck! Mine was an Ivy recruited athlete at Holton ten years ago. She would have hated everyone posting their info like that. |
Oh you poor victims. Boo hoo. |
If STA can control what its students post on social media that is an amazing accomplishment |
