Nursing is a tough admit just about everywhere. Generally a little less competitive than engineering and roughly equivalent to business. |
Clark, Knox. Got into both.
Going to Smith! |
True safeties:
U of SC Indiana KU |
I’ve never felt the urge to conform to what people from Wisco do though. |
The kids here all call it Wisco |
lol. Hardly insecure. My kid’s safeties were another kid’s reaches. That’s how it goes. This whole conversation is beyond stupid. |
It can’t be stopped. They ALL say Wisco. Tik tok rules the universe. |
I’m glad to see someone mention Hobart. We visited, and I liked it a lot.
UVM Pitt Juniata Another SLAC Elon—no merit aid We thought Syracuse was a safety but child rejected from one of their top programs, so you never know. Another person I know with a far lower GPA was accepted. Major and college within the university must make a big difference. We didn’t consider UMD a safety because we know good students who didn’t get accepted. |
It’s very hard to get accepted from MCPS. My 4.2 kid was accepted from a different county. Was near top of class. |
Jesus lady. You’re not making yourself look good here. Talk about beyond stupid. You just can’t understand what “safety” means. |
Wisco’s 49% acceptance rate will make it a safety for lots of kids. Mine and her friends were happy to be accepted early. |
no. Nursing is not tough compared to others unless one is talking about less-selective colleges. Students who get into nursing are from a completely different "track" of high school science and math courses from the magnet publics and privates (less honors, no calculus needed)and historically have lower SAT ranges. The students in getting admitted to Arts&Sciences at T50s have a much harder path to acceptance than nursing admits. Engineering /cS are much harder than A&Sc and draw students fromthe same top honors/AP/IB course curricula as A&Sc, so there is a valid comparison to be made. Nursing admits come from very different high school tracks. Acceptance "rate" means nothing when the applicant pools are completely different. At Elon or Auburn or Boulder nursing may be harder than arts&sciences but at t50s it is the opposite. |
I would not call Wisco a safety. |
where did the two kids mentioned above attend? |
Exactly. It's WISKY. |
