Can someone explain being a member of gym that lacks towel service & showers?

I’m assuming the people rationalizing not showering have never been members at such a perk-filled club.

Nah, I just prefer to shower at home. I won't even shower at our country club.

I don’t like to shit wheee i eat

Seriously. Getting into my car sweaty for a 5 minute drive home is literally the least of my worries.

And no, the car doesn't smell from that. I am not running a marathon at the gym.

People that have smelly or dingy cars don’t realize it because it’s your smell.

The non obese of us do not smell. That's a you problem.

Repeatedly getting into your car with sweaty workout clothes makes your car gross over time. It’s not hygienic.

So what am I supposed to do about transporting kids from sports?

The germaphobes do not have kids. Their heads would explode.

I have kids. We have a family membership at the athletic club.

So they don't play team sports. Got it. Get back to us when they do.

Of course not. They’re uncoordinated

I’d rather wash my hands, towel off, and shower at home. Public showers, no matter how nice the gym, are gross. Public saunas are even more disgusting 🤮.

Mine has showers but I don't pay for towel service. So I either shower at home or just bring my towel in my gym bag if I go straight to work. Most times I just go home - I put sweats on over my gym clothes so I don't touch the car seats sweaty, and it's only a ten minute drive.

If the place is expensive enough, the caliber of people who trash the showers are not going to be members. The showers at my athletic club are clean. I want to leave the gym clean. I can't even imagine getting into my car all sweaty. And that would also make working out before work impossible.

Oh and public showers are nasty...no matter how fancy the gym.
