Repeatedly getting into your car with sweaty workout clothes makes your car gross over time. It’s not hygienic. |
I’m neither big nor gross. I just don’t drive around sweaty, in sweaty workout clothes, after working on machines hundreds of sweaty gross people used before me. Doing that dozens if not hundreds of times makes your car nasty whether you admit it or not. |
I often drive to a trail and run a few miles. I just roll the window down. I don't get that gross, I may also take off my shirt or change my shirt. |
I would not want to shower at a gym. I go home and shower; I also have seat covers on my car which can be washed, so no big deal. |
Depends on your schedule. I used to go to a gym that was en route to work - for early morning classes, I'd use the shower facilities and get cleaned up, then head to work. For evening classes on my way home from work, I did not shower afterwards, just went home.
Now I go to a boutique gym not near work, so I take early AM classes then go home to get ready for work - the facility doesn't have showers, but I knew it wouldn't matter. |
I agree it is gross. |
My gym has showers and towels but I just go home to change and shower, Ick to a gym shower. |
I prefer not to dress in front of others either. |
So what am I supposed to do about transporting kids from sports? |
Most Women don’t sweat the way guys do. Gym showers are gross. You can put a towel on your car seat pretty easily. Keeps workouts faster and easier for busy people. |
No, it doesn't. Why would a bit of sweat on my skin cause breakouts? |
Are you the same person who claims to be able to smell if someone has dirty laundry somewhere, anywhere in their house? Or claims to know of someone didn’t shower after pooping? |
There are gyms without showers?
I never shower at the gym because I go first thing in the morning and then home to get ready so it's not a big deal to me. But if I did I would just bring some packable quick dry towels. Having a gym that is contently locate would be more important to me than towel service. |
I was wondering the same thing. My kids have cleats and pads and really awful smelling socks that get transported in my car sometimes for over an hour to and from practices and games…I promise you that me sitting in there for 5 minutes isn’t changing the smell. |
I don’t sweat usually, if I do it’s minimal. Partially because I’m Asian, partially because I have an autoimmune condition that inhibits my ability to sweat.
I carry body wipes, wash my face, and change everything from head to toe then go straight to work. I could care less what the rest of the people at the gym think. If you’re sweaty and stinky you do what you need to do. But don’t judge everyone because they’re not all like you. |
