Newish friend didn't remember my birthday

I am not a birthday person. They just are not a big deal to me and I find big celebrations kind of cringe. I have two close friends who I have been close to for probably ten years now. One of them feels the same about birthdays and we always laugh that we can't recall each others birthdays every year after all this time. The other...she is a HUGE birthday person. It means a lot to her. After a few years I made a point to put a reminder in my calendar because it does mean a lot to her and she means a lot to me. I can't say I get it right every year but I do try. And there ARE years where Friend 1 and I are frantically texting each other to see if we have already missed Friend 2's birthday!
