Any help with teens that sneak out?

Not PP but in my case, other teens were gifting their old phones and burners to my teen.

Why do people think sneaking out is normal or a right of passage? Just because you maybe did it a few times and turned out ok? Most teens do not sneak out. Nothing good ever happens after midnight is a real thing. If your kid is sneaking out there are problems that need to be addressed. It’s not an aww shucks.

As far as 360, kids turn off the background refresh so the app doesn’t update. There isn’t a way around this but it will show you it hasn’t been updated. So it will say location is ___ lasted updated 3 hours ago. They also will temporary offload the app too.

Find my Friends/IPhone has a parent lock so that one is better.

And I absolutely would drop an air tag in a backpack if they take it with them all the time.

Teens typically sneak out to hang out with their friends, as an act of mild rebellion, to feel "edgy," to assert independence and, yes, to smoke weed and drink beer. Just like I did when I was a teen, just like my kids did, and just like their kids probably will. Sad sacks like you who've clearly forgotten what it was like to be a kid are depressing.

Not the PP but you think all teens sneak out all of the time? Most are focused on school, sports, and activities.

I think most teens do not sneak out. And much less than when we were younger. They can communicate on their phone, FaceTime, play interactive video games, etc…

Most are in a ton of activities and sports compared to us too

And now there are ring cameras, home security, life 360 and more.

If your teens are sneaking out, it has to be drug/alcohol related.

I snuck out and went to speed at the black cat and 930 club. Didn't smoke, didn't drink. Just went to shows and even worr ear plugs
