Important to understand whether the GPA is unweighted (UW) or weighted (W). |
were these RD applications though (or is the data broken down that way)? wonder if there's a difference between RD and ED GPAs. |
NP but I believe that most of the applications shown on SCOIR were RD. There is not a large enough sampling of ED apps to these schools from NCS to know whether it would make a difference or not. Since Wash U has ED1 and ED2 (does Emory? I don't even know) you would think it would make a difference. |
Naviance doesn't separate Emory College from Oxford College so that 3.87 could be a bit misleading. |
Does the degree say Oxford on it if one goes to Oxford? |
No, because you send the last two years on main campus. |
LOL |
Emory’s application numbers have grown but not at the same rate as most of its peers. iIt remains an easier admit than the T20, takes kids in the top 15 to 30 percent at our private, ED. |
Emorys apps have grown the most. Emorys acceptance rate was 18% 3 years ago, it's 11 today. What other top 25 school has dropped 7% in 3 years? |
I think you need to aim at BC level not washu |
ED1 apps up 12% |
26% ED1 acceptance rate for Emory College. 705 accepted 2704 applied. |
Thanks. That sounds really good to me even with ED1s up like PP said. |
That's about what Duke was 2 years ago. |
Duke has been under 20 for a few years, and of course, everyone’s numbers have gone down substantially with test optional. I agree with first poster, Emory remains a solid choice for ED1 if one wants to go with the better odds of acceptance. |
