Did your DC submit AP scores or get asked to submit a graded paper? I listened to an interview of an Emory admissions dean and it didn’t sound like they were fully truly test optional.

Does Oxford require a separate application?

Sorry. Your applicant will get in someplace great that they like.

I know he will but he's not taking it too well right now

I’m sorry. Emory’s loss.

Affirmative action doesn't exist anymore. Nice try, troll.

This is not true. A student may freely write about URM experiences in an essay. That can be considered in admissions. In fact, some schools send pamphlets out that specifically mention this.

An applicant can write about whatever they like. SC made it clear that it's decision did not supercede the first amendment.

Right, but that the info in the essay can be used in admissions consideration. So when someone said their kid was admitted, listed the stats and said kid is an URM, it is likely URM status was still considered. Schools have said they still value diversity and will ensure their campus remains diverse. So…affirmative action exists.

Read the decision. Affirmative action is dead. Decision states clearly there shall be no workarounds. So Emory can't work race or ethnicity into the admissions math.
