Should I vote republican or a democrat? I despise both parties.

The GOP has been undermining public education since the 1980's. The whole Charter School thing to diver public money to religious schools is the latest ploy.
The GOP hasn't ever funded an infrastructure bull.
We have the GOP healthcare program right now. We should have Universal/Single Payer instead.

But sure, both sides.

“BoThSiDeS” people are the kind of people who like to brag on Facebook that they’re “no drama…” but they’re always causing drama. They’re the people who badly want to be seen as smart and above pettiness but aren’t smart and are the pettiest. They want to be held up as special but the only special thing they bring is big “I’m The Main Character” energy.

Lol what? You seem to be the one creating drama. I am sick of the drama from both and it is my choice as a citizen to not want to vote for either candidate. Both sides are corrupt and have the same agenda. Tell me one thing Biden has done that has been so remarkable? They are all in bed with big corporations and couldn’t care less about the common man.

Passed an infrastructure bill
Passed a consequential omnibus bill that is creating jobs and moving the US away from oil.
Got the vaccine out to the public so we could re-start our economy.
Passed a bill that bolsters chip manufactring and other manufacturing in the US, thus more good paying blue collar jobs that are woefully needed.
Brought NATO back together.
Growing GDP, Growing job base, shrinking unemployment.

Seriously, none of these things would have happened under Trump or another GOP president.

Sadly, you won't realize what you had until it's gone. If you've only ever lived in a free society of abundance on demand, you may believe it flows down a mountain like water. Consider that you have the freedom to choose your own pronouns, if you so choose, or own a gun, if you so choose. We have to defend the Constitution with our votes. I know a 2nd Trump presidency will be the last free election. Biden defends the Constitution by abiding within it. That's enough for me.

Deep breaths buddy. Just because most people have come to the factual realization that an 81 year old person is not our best possible option for president doesn't mean that they are Trump supporters or Trump voters. Most of us will inevitably vote for Biden anyway if our choices are limited to Trump or Biden. Deep breaths. Everything will be okay.

if you really think there is no difference between Trump and the GOP and Biden and the Dems at this point in our history, that is really a sad indictment of your sources of information.

You should vote for Democrats.

Given the leadership and rank and file of the GOP, I think you are wrong. The GOP = MAGA.

What are the MAGA interests in making government work, or having a smooth running democracy. It is clear the MAGA wing of the GOP which is now the majority of their elected officials, is interest in making government work for themselves, or dismantling/shutting it down all together. Government closes down under GOP leadership and each time it happens, it costs billions of dollars for no good reason. That money could have been used to pay down debt, reduce the costs of lifesaving drugs, give raises to our men and women in blue, etc. instead it is just wasted. And it will happen again in a few weeks.

What do you think? After re-reading the above, I feel like I should probably vote republican, but i just hate most republican politicians!

Your use of the word "illegals" when describing human beings who are escaping violence and poverty outs you as a right winger, no matter your protests that you have no allegiance to either party.

Please stop using such obscene language to describe human beings. It's wrong, distasteful and disgraceful. Shame on you.

I think you’re a troll. If you’re not, then, instead of focusing on labels and national party platforms, do whatever research you feel you need to do, and vote for the individuals who most closely represent your own priorities.
Since you probably realize that some of your “wants” are contradictory, good luck with finding candidates who match them all. Maybe prioritize your list, forget about party affiliations, and notice if there are any helpful patterns with the candidates who match your top priorities.

Voters don't shut down our government. It's our politicians that are of lower quality than they were 30 years ago that cause government not to function as effectively and efficiently as it should.

The GOP is pathetic these days.

But if the GOP were to roll with a Mitt Romney or a John McCain, they'd win everything. There's been serious democratic overreach - from soft on crime to some of the trans absurdities. There's a lot of space for common sense candidates. But Republicans refuse to go there. They are 100 percent invested in Donald Trump. And that makes them awful and repellent.

The Republicans could sweep across the board if they could run a moderate like Romney. The Democrats have gone off the deep end, but as you say, Trump is repellent.

You and the rest of the dummies who are practically baying to vote Republican are part of the problem. You don’t see that though, do you? Your reply will be of the “omg you’re such a partisan!” variety, but whoop de ding. Which Republicans have presented any sort of plans or governance? Which ones have actually acted against the worst impulses of the GOP fringe (now the base and no longer “the fringe” at all)? Abortion is functionally illegal in multiple states, prenatal care is worse, pregnant women who were actually just trying to have a baby have to wait to be near enough to death to get a life saving abortion… where has any Republican put any brakes on this?

You all want to pretend that Trump is the only problem. He’s not. He’s the weird boil that signifies blood poisoning. But ohhhhh the Democrats want trans people to feel safe. (And for the record I do agree that trans activists have gone too far but they still get murdered way more than people born into the right gendered body so I can see where it’s coming from. You can only hold people down for so long before something snaps).

Anytime your democrat party speaks out about moderation and not demanding wide open borders, uncontrolled violent crime, and abortion to one minute before the baby is born whilst forcing the tax payer to foot the bill, you let us know that republicans are fringe.

Any time your Republican party quits lying and spreading conspiracy theories to simple-minded voters like you willing to believe anything, you let us know.

No your party is worse.. no your party is worse... no it's your party.. no, no your party.... geez Louise children, it doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out both parties are no longer serving the people well

You Republicans always try to suggest a false equivalency. The Republicans in Congress participated in Jan. 6 to try to overthrow the government. Turn off Fox News. It is poison.

Our Federal Government had been showing signs of dysfunction and and poor leadership long before Jan. 6th 2021. We haven't had a newly elected president that made sense since the 1990s. I realize your depth in political thought doesn't go back any further than when you tuned in to what happened on Jan 6th.

You ninny MAGA. I am a lawyer working in politics. You are an election denier.

Am strongly pro-choice.

Am pro-gun control, but reasonable limits like not allowing people with retraining orders against them to buy guns.

Believe human-made climate change is an impending disaster that could end life as we know it, and think a strong environmental policy is critical.

Think Democratic support for suppression of speech online under the guise of suppressing “misinformation” is terrifying and Orwellian.

Think public schools have lost their way and vouchers may be the way forward at this point.

Think progressives like AOC and squad don’t have any sense of morality or ethics. Or common sense.

Think the MAGA are essentially a death cult.

In general, am scared and worried about the sharp uptick of misogyny across both the right and the left.

I’m with you. I vote both R and D. Voted Biden last time, but can’t do it again due to current admin’s lies about science and reality. Will not vote Trump, so likely will vote 3rd party.

I’m the PP and I’m seriously thinking of sitting this election out or voting third party. I do not know what else to do.

I’ll put this as plainly as I can:

If you want to live in a country where free voting is a thing, vote Democratic. I know, they’re not perfect. Biden isn’t perfect. Ok.

But good Lord, people, look farther than your nose. The Republican Party is literally dismantling the fundamentals that allow for voting and elections in our country. January 6 anyone?! Where a Republican president - a lead for their nomination - didn’t like that he lost and so he orchestrated a mob that attempted to kill members of congress.

If you read about this kind of incident happening in another country, you’d think, holy cow, that is a democracy about to collapse.

BOTTOM LINE: do not throw away your chance to ensure you even have the right to vote in the future. Please.
