Right where the GOP wants us. Cheap labor for their business owning donors and plenty of fresh immigrants to make their bigoted base constantly angry. Of course the GOP doesn’t want to do immigration reform!! |
I am voting Green Party and we should all vote for the Green Party. Republicans and Democrats have done nothing for this country. Actually Republicans have accomplished everything harmful for this country but the Democrats are too weak to turn back the damage. So sick of them both. |
And what have the democrats done? They have been taking us for a ride all these years. I was a staunch democrat but no more. I’m an independent now. |
The hit dog will holler. I don’t know if you’re a MAGA or one of the gender Megatrons who call themselves “transgender,” but both of your cults have no place in a civilized society. |
So by voting for the Green Party, you are facilitating the Rise of Trump 2.0. How do you think that will turn out for everyone? |
The Demcorats are responsible for virtually all of the GDP and Job growth over the past 40 years. In the face of the narrowest of political margins in Washington they have accomplished quite a lot. Think of how much worse it would be if we had no government regulation, unbridled corporate rule and co-mingling of Radical Christianity in our public policy? That is the modern GOP. But sure, both sides are bad. |
Nothing. Generally speaking, Dem politicians on the Federal level have served the country in much more respectable way than their Republican counterparts in recent years and a lot of that has to do with the chaos Trump's divisiveness created within the Republican Party. Collectively, Republican and Dem politicians have underperformed for at least the past 20 to 25 years in my opinion. Examples of underperformance would be foreign policy decision mishaps and not getting a sufficient amount of bang for the American taxpayers buck in many ways. Obvious policy blunders have been more commonplace and it's fair for the American taxpayer to expect more in return for the amount of money our Federal Government has spent in recent decades. Sure, certain individual politicians are more to blame for this than others and perhaps politicians of one party are more to blame for this but these are failures of our Federal Government as a whole. There are long standing national issues that Congress has failed to mitigate or resolve despite both parties having had opportunities for successful legislative action with majority control in government. Government is run by people and people aren't perfect but it's fair for the citizens of this wealthy, powerful nation to expect leadership in government to be closer to perfect than they have been in recent decades. |
Who owns the growing population of food insecure people in the US?

Congress. They control the purse strings, remember? And they decided kids can starve. |
The current tenets of conservatism are (1) preserving dominance of those in power and (2) taking a sh*t on the weakest among us. |
x1 million I don't get how people can vote for these jokers. |
Look at OP, clearly raised conservative and religious and unable to really think through what it all means. That’s how. It’s tribalism. In his mind, he would be abandoning his family, his birthright if he fully abandons the Republican Party. Repeat him endlessly across the country, add in a deeply conservative friendly mainstream media and voila. |
Name me one reason why we cannot get more talented educated people from around the world through legal immigration process? |
You should vote Dem for president and state races and then decide what to do based on people running for congress |
I used to support the Green Party but they have gone too far off the rails for me. I lost interest when I saw Jill Stein cozying up to Putin, and some comments from Ajamu Baraka that were starting to go horseshoe-effect into the far right. |
