NP. She had the means to buy insurance on the exchange and didn’t. A lot of conservatives would rather go without insurance vs paying for Obamacare. She also has a rare form of pneumonia and she is not that old and fit so people are going to assume covid. The daughter didn’t want to disclose any details which is odd considering her request for money.

Maybe... my cousin was hospitalized, in a coma, on ECMO and almost died from COVID. She and her husband and in-laws were all MAGA anti-vaxxers. Her husband wanted to pull the plug on her but fortunately her father intervened. When she finally came out of it and got out of the hospital, the first thing she did was file divorce papers and now she gets vaccines and doesn't want anything to do with MAGA politics. She got her wake-up call.

We all have anecdotes.
My son got the vaccine because the govt said they were safe and effective. He got myocarditis as a result. He cannot have anymore Covid vaccines. Fortunately, his workplace does not mandate it. And, he lives in a state where mandates are not legal, thankfully.
He is lucky.

A few facts for you: Data shows that far more people got myocarditis from covid than from the vaccines, myocarditis was found in patients at a rate of 32 times higher than in people who got the vaccines - even mild cases of covid gave many people myocarditis. There's actually a likelihood your son actually got his myocarditis from a mild case of covid rather than from the vaccines. The vaccines actually prevented many people from getting covid-related myocarditis. It also helped millions of children as well. Kids who got the vaccine were 80% less likely to end up in the ER if they got covid than kids who didn't get the vaccines.

And that's not anecdote, it's data.

The claim in the thread is that she publicly denigrated obamacare. She hasn’t, publicly said a word against obamacare.

The claim is she’s a rabid anti-vaxer. I’ve not seen one quote from her about vaccines. People who have been vaccinated and boosted still get covid, and die from covid. She could have been vaccinated for all we know.

People are claiming she’s MAGA. I’ve seen nothing about her supporting MAGA.

I don't think anyone here has tried to prevent her from receiving help with paying her medical bills. People have indicated they would never contribute, and some have stated that people who are taken in by that plea are showing bad judgement, but that's not the same thing.

I'll also note it is you calling other posters "hags," which is pretty rich, given your take on this.
