What is a word that you dislike and/or associate with negative things, when most people would not say the same?

"tricky" As in "this is such a tricky time for our littles". I just can't stand it and I don't know why.

"I'm sorry you feel that way" sounds like someone rubbing it in that they have no remorse

ā€˜Persons’ I don’t know why but it makes me roll my eyes.

ā€˜Engage’ as in ā€˜we want to engage with the community’. It just seems like such an annoying way to say it.

What word would you use to describe integer chips, algebra tiles, etc? Manipulatives is the umbrella word for the category of objects.

I have a graduate degree in special education. "Manipulatives" did seem a bit much to describe "objects." LoL.

Concrete objects would probably be an accurate description of manipulatives.

Yeah but when you are in a class and tell kids to use their manipulative to figure out a problem, isn't that easier than saying "get out your concrete objects?"

I wouldn't use the word manipulatives with the students anyway. I would use words like "blocks" or "fraction strips" or "fraction circles."

I'm really annoyed at the way Karen went from being a term to criticize white middle-aged women who were really mean to service workers to criticizing all white (and maybe women of other races) middle-aged women for doing nothing objectionable.
