I am pretty sure they concluded she was a child and given al the factors, including her mothers age at birth she couldn’t be very old even if the birth certificate was altered for adoption.

Everything about this documentary seems very biased towards the parents who after getting one judge to issue a new birth certificate without much proof, were then able to use that birth certificate to support their case everywhere else.

I am not really interested in watching it if it the parents propaganda piece. They have made a lot of money off her already.

Came here to say the same thing. The found her birth mother who according to the parent’s timeline would have had to be 10 when she gave birth. I personally don’t think she was 6 at adoption but probably closer to 11 or 12.

I agree with you. There was/is a lot of fudging on records for international adoptees. They changed her records to reflect a younger age (very common), but I do not believe for one second she was an adult when adopted. Her adoptive parents (all of them) are sacks of sh**. Natalia due to trauma/personality type/whatever is also crazy as a loon. I feel bad for her, and, I also believe she has been difficult to deal with. What a mess.

Wow- I just finished season 2. The very end is something else.
I don’t know if I’ve ever seen a show with some many extremely unwell people.

omg the ending??? The Man's posted recent holiday pics with Natalia so that call must have been made in literally the past 2 weeks. Found a new video of her talking about moving out because their beliefs don't match her. Someone in the comments watched her live and Natalia said they were supportive and still close. I guessing the call was a knee jerk reaction then.

I find Natalia very unlikeable and I don't trust her.

Yes I believe the Barnett's were very terrible people. But Natalia seems fake.

Oh yeah, she might be a sketchy person herself due to the circumstances of her life up to this point. But factually she was a child who deserved better. The trauma won’t heal overnight.

I agree she was failed.

So much victim blaming on here, it's quite disgusting. So victims are only sympathetic when they are meek and loveable? Most people who have experienced abuse their whole lives have aggressive personalities due to having to survive under terrible circumstances. She was a small child who was never loved or cared for properly. Can you imagine?? Find the empathy and humanity in yourselves before you judge her for "seeming fake".

The way she interrogated her neighbor was gross. Why is she blaming the neighbor?
She is a sociopath.

I do think Natalia put Pledge in Kristine's coffee.
Also why would everyone lie against Natalia? Neighbors heard her say things.

Michael’s comment about how Kristine loves cameras and attention so much made me want to punch him. She’s been silent on this whole case hiding her actions and Michael has been in front of the camera multiple times telling different versions of this story to anyone who would listen. He talks like he’s on stage all the time. It’s a performance, and a crappy one at that. And that’s not to say Kristine is innocent. She was absolutely abusive. It’s just crazy that Michael is claiming she’s the one who loves attention when these interviews show something else.

The way he re-reenacted a beating incident to Natalia was unreal. You don’t do that to victims of trauma. That was entirely inappropriate and difficult to watch.

The ending only solidifies to me that this girl was traumatized, she acts out as a result of that trauma, and most families have a hard time coping with that. Unfortunately, she also found herself continuously traumatized in abusive situations. The filming itself was likely re-traumatizing, so it’s not exactly shocking that her relationships would suffer and she would lash out after filming ended. She needs real help and I hope she gets it. At the very least, I hope she gets her age corrected.

Yes, she is a sociopath because of her life circumstances. I don’t know if we can imagine the horrific things that have happened to her since she was very tiny.
The combination of her and the Barnett “parents” - it’s a nightmare.

Michael has the strangest mannerisms and facial expressions of just about anyone I’ve ever seen. The closest person I can think of is the Heaven’s Gate cult leader. He’s utterly bizarre which ramps up the weirdness factor. Seems like he could be on coke or other drugs. I suspect his ex-wife also ancts very oddly but we haven’t heard from her.
