Those last 30 seconds.

This is bizarre.

I think natalia is dislikeable bc of the fake accent she uses and she seems to be playing a character… super weird can’t get past the second episode of season 2 because of Natalia narrating.

Then in the orphanage.

The orphanages are understaffed, her behavior was too much for the staff, she was too manipulative and was able to talk her way out of being sent to another orphanage. The staff saw a chance to rid themselves of her and fudged the records.

She suffered enough trauma in her early years that she was never going to be able to live in a family setting ever again. This is not really uncommon.

The parents didn’t have many choices. She was never going to adapt to family life and she would never see them as her parents. It’s difficult to get residential care and it’s only covered by insurance for a short time.

I have no doubt that Natalie was abusive towards the parents and tried to kill them. I have no doubt that the parents at their wits end and scared were abusive to Natalie.

The solution the parents came up with seemed to actually work for both them and Natalie. But she couldn’t help screwing up something that was going well for her. She has serious mental issues that aren’t going to get better.

It’s been very convincingly established with x ray records in the us that she was 8-9 at the time the barnetts were working to get here re-aged to 20 something.

What fake accent?

I find her to be off too. But even if she's 100% innocent (which I don't believe) I understand that she might express herself differently. She was abandoned multiple times, likely abused, neglected.... She was raised by Michael who also seems like he's acting the whole and the pastor guy who also speaks with a lot of inflection. Both very animated, so it makes sense that that's her speaking style too.

The problem with the x-rays is people take them as absolutes and they are not. This is especially true for someone like Natalia with a physical disability and someone who suffered malnutrition. There are more extensive tests that can be done.

Same issue with the dental records. I had baby teeth until I was teen and some people have them into adulthood. It’s not an absolute.

DNA tests can’t provide a definite age either.

I don’t think she was 22 - that seems rather random - 16? 18? - sure that I could believe

The fact that the second family that took her in thinks she is crazy makes me believe that maybe she is‼️

No 8-9 when she was adopted.

She has a Go Fund Me now, but pretty sure she gets assistance for anything she needs.

The entire thing is totally made-up bull

This is some messed up situation. I don't think she was 6 when the Barnett's brought her home. I don't think Michael nor Kristina were prepared for a child who had been through a lot of trauma.

I think Kristina was worst of the two, I mean making your child pee on the other child's bed....

But either way. It will be impossible to get the "real" story. There's so much manipulation and abuse here it's insane.

I’d like to know what Jacob (the physics/math prodigy) is doing now. Him living in his dad’s basement is just so sad and he definitely has some mental issues.

We’ve only watched season 1, so maybe they’ll update his situation in season 2.

Natalia is not a victim, she has severe mental health issues. She is A wolf in sheep’s clothing.

Of course she does! Why promote her shenanigans?
