Why have conservatives become such mean spirited bigots?

At CPAC this week, they went mask-off, calling for the eradication of trans people.

But the right wingers keep telling us we are overreacting. They think it’s funny that the libs are all up in arms about this and that. Everyone outside their bubble sees all the red flags. These fools rather see everything go to hell if it means owning the libs.

1) being forced to ‘bow’ to people I don’t even know because they are of a different race. Last I checked, that was a very bad thing.

Let's take these one be one. Can you please provide an example of when you have been forced to "bow' to someone because they are a different race?

People eating at Cafes were accosted by members of BLM and made to raise a fist, under threat of physical violence.

People being forced to take a knee in solidarity

Your answer is that you have in fact not been forced to "bow" to anyone, but that you do know of an incident in which other people were also not forced to "bow"? Powerful argument.

Quite the list of demands:

Yeah, none of that demonstrates anyone being forced to bow. It demonstrates a few people having their dinner interrupted. I'll ask again, if you believe your are forced to bow, how often do you do that? Are you compliance with this requirement or not?

Am I correct is stating that you are taking ‘forced to bow’ literally, as in people have to actually bow? Is that your actual argument here? That wasn’t someone having their ‘dinner interrupted’. That was someone being accosted by a mob of people trying to force them to agree with their point of view by making statements/gestures they deem appropriate under threat of violence. And people like yourself not seeing a problem with it. If this was a mob of white supremacists doing this to black diners, you would be apoplectic! In fact, a person earlier posted a photo of a mob doing just this to teens in the 50s. It was wrong then, it’s wrong now. The race of the mob should not change that fact; why does it with you?

Is this ok? Does the race of the mob make them wrong here, but right if the races were reversed? You just made my point, so thank you

He’s correct - men cannot truly become women and pretending they physically can, when it results in rights being taken away from women, is a huge step backwards for women. Ditto women becoming men — they can’t truly do that, if that results in rights being taken away from me, that’s also a huge step backwards.

“Bow” was in quotes. MAGA fans aren’t mad about literal “bowing.” They’re upset that measures are taken to ensure that colleges have some diversity. They’re upset that discrimination in hiring is forbidden. They’re upset that minority voters might swing an election. In a nutshell, they’re upset that being white isn’t as much of an advantage as it once was.

That's probably true and, if so, they should just say that. But instead they are arguing that all of them are oppressed because someone got their dinner interrupted in DC last summer.

If you are asking if I have an issue with Asians being discriminated against when it comes to entry into colleges (ex: Berkeley “we have enough Asians, we’d be all Asian), yes I do. And I’m *gasp* Anglo-Saxon white!

Men, not me. I’m a woman. However, if I was a man, that statement would still ring true. Women have lost titles that were rightfully theirs, to transgender individuals

The raw number and percentage of trans people is so small, it is hard to understand why the right is so fixated on them.

Seems contradictory after the last 50 years of the womens' rights movement saying women can do anything a man can.

Because the left is determined to elevate one group of people over another.

Actually, I wasn't asking anything remotely like that. But, "Asians are getting discriminated against so we should prohibit transgender pilots" is some amazing logic.

There is so much irony in the P comment.

DP. Now y'all are being silly.

ONLY certain female parts (a) produce eggs, (b) give birth, and (c) provide milk to newborns. ONLY a certain male part can produce stuff to fertilize an egg. A FEW men are physically larger and SOME men stronger, but I've also met women bodybuilders who are stronger than the majority of males out there and can kick their butt.

In the case of transgender, A FEW have physical capabilities of both male and female. In the case of gay or lesbian, it is more of a mental attraction / difference (versus a physical difference).

Short of that, the physiology, intellect, etc. of men, women, transexuals, gay, etc. don't differ that much and could be considered nearly identical.

If someone wants to deny the existence or reality of transgender, gay/lesbian, giving birth, etc., y'all aren't living in the real world. You need to grow up and learn how to deal with it.

For a number of them? It’s that they’re aroused by the idea and then, because of their beliefs, angry and scared about it. Of course the condition of their bigoted beliefs create the conditions under which the very notion of trans people existing becomes titillating.

And there’s a degree of misogyny in it, too. The anger at women being presumptuous for trying to assume the rights due only to men and their horror at men wanting to forfeit all those rights by becoming women! Human sacrifice! Dogs and cats living together! Mass hysteria!
