What is Triple Edge?

Triple Edge was the series when it was out of Chantilly before the St James opened. Not going to into the crap storm that let up to it moving to St James and the immediate after but there was some ugliness.

TE was a lot of fun but you seldom knew when the game was much before a day or two before.

So true about the schedule. But those sweet mismanagement of a schedule people could always get a score right and didn’t charge $200 to do it.

Pat gave you a lot for your money, pinnies for all your team included in the price and I remember it only being like $135 for 7 or 8 games. He also bought and paid for all the trophies for the championships in NVYLL back in the day.

He could be grumpy but that was part of his charm. Good dude, good series and the kids I knew that played the series really liked it.

St. James is okay. Better in some ways, not as good in others but it's what we have I guess.

So you’d rather have a mismanaged schedule, not be able to plan your weekend, have terrible game sight lines (I remember that NoVa location) all because a kid gets a score wrong every now and again? I remember paying for that league - it wasn’t free. Folks are now starting to question your motives.

The sight line was better with TE and at the field house. You weren’t limited to watching from the end zone.

Wasn’t free but it was like $70 less with one more game.

The games I remember at NOVA field house were absolutely limited to watching from the end zone — on the floor level where you couldn’t see a darn thing. No elevated stands with a birds-eye view. You’re nuts if you think that facility is better than St James.

If you’re complaining about $70 you are in the wrong sport. Just wait until high school — multiple summer pay-to-play tournaments that cost a fortune (on top of club lax fees). Support your kid and stop sweating the small stuff.

Just saying it was $70 cheaper and 1 more game. Yeah, that’s a tournament sweatshirt that’ll be worn once and a field burger and no way was the FH better. CYA has improved the lighting, torn out one field and it’s pretty packed with pickle ball now.
Been through the rec, club, travel, recruiting fun and now into the “kollege” game now. I’m almost free from lacrosse.

Anonymous wrote:How about the St James management here? Customers are complaining about a legitimate issue with a service they are paying for. Management response is a combination of stop caring about that issue, the scoring is meaninigless because the league is basicallly meaningless but we still want your money. And by the way, going directly to St James management is even more ridiculous an experience than reading their responses here.

This poster would have loved Triple Edge way more un organized than St. James. FYI: the lacrosse management used to be a head coach at Navy I am sure he can handle a crazy parent. Best of luck

Maybe he can handle parents but he can't handle running a Winter League.

St James isn't a lacrosse club. it's a sports club. Keep that in mind. STJ is running the league, not Stars.

The St James has boys travel club/teams, their version of Stars on the boys side. The director for the boys club teams also runs/coordinates the boys Winter league.

One of our kids games this weekend just was changed from a decent time to a terrible time, so I'm not sure STJ is 100% amazing either. Not to mention the fact that there's another basketball tournament this weekend and it's going to be another mess trying to park. Fairfax County's going to have a great revenue weekend.

Can we talk about how they just messed with the schedule for Super Bowl weekend? The last game should be at 430…. There are games at 630, 730, 830 now. Any suggestions to get these changed? Seriously. What are they thinking?
