St James Winter Indoor League

Write to the WCAC then and ask for a change. You are clearly so worked up about it and passionate about it so do something other than ramble on about it on an anonymous message board.

If you aren't going to do anything then give it a rest.

Coach: Just because you don’t like people talking about you doesn’t mean the topic doesn’t deserve attention.

Not the coach just a parent. But thanks for playing. Again, go complain to the WCAC or give it a rest. Or better yet go to your conference and try to change those rules so your daughter’s coach can do the same.

Let’s restate: no one is complaining. Just sharing ideas to ensure a level playing field. Posting here (where WCAC officials visit) is good for everyone. If the topic is tiresome to you, or you don’t think it’s worthy of discussion, don’t engage. Go away. Pretty confident many here agree strengthening WCAC rules is a good thing. And yea, all WCAC teams should abide by the same rules, just as ISL teams should.

“No one is complaining” - sure Jan.

If other WCAC coaches don’t want to take advantage of what is available to them, that is on them. ISL coaches can try to change their rules too to “level the playing field”.

This isn’t just about lacrosse. These rules apply to all WCAC sports and more than just 1 coach of 1 sport utilizes the rules to the fullest. You brought up 1 Coach, that has utilized the rule for years and coached in the off-season for years, likely after your team lost to them in indoor. Sounds like complaining to me.

It started with a question about the rules and ended with a discussion about strengthening accountability for all WCAC coaches to avoid potential abuse of the rules. You apparently see that as a bad thing. And that is telling.

This post is unbelievable. It’s girls high school lacrosse. This is not the NBA, maybe you should spend less time worrying about the GC coach and concentrate on your own life

It’s not about the GC coach. It’s about strengthening accountability for all WCAC coaches. Why would GC program be against that?
Anonymous
Just video him doing it next time and send the video to all the other WCAC ADs and let them decide if they want to make a case of it. Beyond that it’s not really your call.
Anonymous
Right - it’s not my call. It’s the WCAC’s call, which is why we’re having this discussion out in the open so they can see it and maybe take action. Good Grief, Good Counsel …

Pretty clear you are just mad about 1 coach, and not the entire WCAC, since it has already been established that other coaches have done it as well - like the PVI coach. Let's make sure he is being held accountable as well! But you didn't mention that coach.... It's not a discussion when you bring it back to 1 GC coach every time.

The rules are clear to coaches/ADs and he is not breaking them. You don't like it? Tough. But it is well within the rules for him to coach indoor games. An anonymous conversation on a message board isn't going to change a rule for an entire conference - and ALL sports in that conference - just because a parent on a forum doesn't like it and is jealous.

Wrong again. The GC coach who chirped the refs last weekend was the catalyst for a broader discussion about the rules, how they’re being followed, and how the WCAC enforces them. Read the thread.

So true. He chirped at refs, yelled at his players like they were regular season games. If the GC AD was doing his job, he would be talking to the coach about taking a lower profile and staying off the bench during the winter. Or maybe he will just take his team back to Baltimore and carry on with no transparency.

I hope you take all of this energy and try to do something about it then since you seem so upset about it to continue to rehash the same point over and over and over again.

Maybe the WCAC will listen and change the rule for all of their sports because a few lax parents don't like it. Doubt it, especially since it seems like you aren't even associated with a WCAC school, but good luck.

This thread sums up the joke that is DC lacrosse and the parents that go with it. Good job, keep up the entertainment!
