Why do rich men seem to heavily prefer very skinny women? Even over a beautiful face?

NO she has the typical bobblehead of WLS or fast weight loss from injections.

Bobblehead?

Just wondering why this is. Is it a generational thing, since "thin was in" for boomers and it's mostly boomers and Xers with the wealth at this point? Status symbol? The men just like it without any outside influence from society? Any thoughts?

What's ypur BMI, OP?

He's not wrong.

Can I ask how you mean that nicely?

Another thing is that many rich men married to extremely thin women will cheat specifically with curvier women. So it can't only be attraction. David Beckham comes to mind for that...

Probably a lot of hot women come by it naturally in their 20s, and then being rich allows them to stay focused on body maintenance for the next few decades.

Maybe true. Sounds really awful to be a woman who has to have a major focus on body maintenance in their 40s and 50s or else face divorce/ being switched out for a newer model.

Some of us enjoy exercise and don’t want to eat garbage. Few of our grandparents were fat so it’s not like it’s some major accomplishment.

I enjoy exercise and love eating garbage. I would not want to have “a major focus on body maintenance” as a 45 year old woman. I exercise by walking/jogging and doing yoga/Pilates, but I do it because I want to feel good, not so that I maintain my “figure” to “keep” my rich husband. That would make my skin crawl if that were an expectation for my marriage. If you are comfortable with that arrangement, great and enjoy!

I don’t think most women consciously think about being thin to keep their rich husbands (which doesn’t always work, this board is filled with reports of husbands that “affair down”) it is more deeply entrenched than that- it is a combination of genetics and an almost OCD fixation on being thin. Talk to older women that are thin and you will get an earful about their absolute disgust and revulsion of body fat.

I think this is it.

When did the OP say that? Sounds like you're the one doing projecting/hating. Maybe wishful thinking on your part?

Is there something appealing about bones and loose skin? I say this as someone who is quite slim myself, but let's be real, all bodies have issues. It's a "pick your poison" game. I personally can see the beauty in rolls and cellulite (which, btw, has nothing to do with weight and is shared by both thin and fat women) and I can see the beauty in bones bulging out. But it's all about the perspective you have

LOL no. Kim went on an extreme low carb diet to lose weight. She even tells a story of her going to a personal trainer and the personal trainer telling her she was perfectly healthy and "didnt have 20 pounds to lose" and Kanye coming in and shouting at the woman because of it 🥴 Also everyone knows she went on Ozempic to shed the pounds, which we really dont know the long term effects of. Ozempic (a diabetes drug) has become a recent trend that already slim women are using to drop even more weight, and we have no idea of the long term functions at play. Overall I would say her diet, especially dropping 20 lbs within TWO WEEKS to fit into the Marilyn Monroe dress, is one of the least healthy diets any famous person has admitted to within the last 10 years.

Umm ok. Keep eating and make up excuses

Don't have anything to say back, huh?

Thin body size is idealized beauty in the media. Most rich men are superficial egotistical isecure males. They think a thin woman enhances there image the same way they think an expensive sports car reflects on them. In reality they just look like silly jerks.

And men!! Everyone has cellulite.

I’m thin, have cellulite and my DH is a stay at home dad. I don’t know what that says about either of us except that we fell in love and are trying to figure out life like most other couples. I DO watch my weight, by eating healthy and exercising, but at 44 I am so used to it, it doesn’t take any effort. I dislike junk food, think it tastes awful and I know it makes me feel slow and hung over the next day.

Actually, no... men and women have different skin cells, so cellulite only expresses itself in men when they do have greater body fat (perhaps this is why people traditionally associate fat with cellulite). In women, it occurs in about 90%, regardless of body fat levels. It's a really interesting sexual difference

A guy friend confided in me once that most men are into a good body over a nice face.

Just a guess: super thin looks “classy” because expensive clothing is made for model-thin bodies. It’s easier for a super thin woman who is not pretty in the face to look rich versus a beautiful curvy woman simply because super luxury brands make clothes with size 00 in mind. I’m not saying rich men think about clothes but subconsciously they do want a woman who knows how to look rich.
