Why do rich men seem to heavily prefer very skinny women? Even over a beautiful face?

Anonymous
I was just wondering about this today. I see a lot of rich men, and often the women theyre with are not very attractive in the face (like at all), but they're almost always pin thin.

Just wondering why this is. Is it a generational thing, since "thin was in" for boomers and it's mostly boomers and Xers with the wealth at this point? Status symbol? The men just like it without any outside influence from society? Any thoughts?

Subconscious view of anyone not really thin as greedy or not disciplined?

Because they know the face doesn't last.

But the body doesnt either? I'd say the face lasts longer than the body, ESPECIALLY if you keep a little extra fat on the face.

You sound envious.

But if this phenomenon is true, it’s likely because being rich means you can eat better, have time for exercise, etc. We know that a lower socioeconomic status is correlated with higher rates of obesity.

How on earth do I sound envious for asking a question? You sound like you might be envious, or maybe projecting... anyway! Disregarding your answer because the start was so unhinged

Envious of beauty, sure. It sounds like someone who is thin but not beautiful and wanting a conversation about how enviable that is, just so she can read it and feel good. Kinda ew.

My exH was saying the wife should be thin, to account for future long term "expansion". You marry thin, she will be normal in her 40th. You marry not super thin, in the US she'll end up fat in middle age.He was a rich jerk, though.

Interesting, thanks for actually answering the question. Definitely food for thought (no pun intended! )

Basically it’s rich super driven men. They hate laziness and accordingly are completely fat phobic. They are willing to put up with other downsides. Laziness to them is a cardinal sin.

Okay, OP. I hope you get what you need from the thread, and that it lasts at least a little while.

They want wives who look hot in bikinis, period.

And see, as a bisexual woman, who I would think would look good in a bikini would be like a Monica Bellucci, Kelly Brook circa 2014, Salma Hayek, etc. And yet I dont see the richest men going for that

OP here. I think that might be part of it... a psychological association of fatness with laziness and thinness with discipline. I wonder if there is a generational factor as well but I definitely think that might be a big factor
