Why do rich men seem to heavily prefer very skinny women? Even over a beautiful face?

Sometimes rich men prefer women who come from wealthier families or who are also well off. They tend to be thin, because they have the money to achieve thinness.

This could be a big part of it. A lot of wealthy men come from wealth families, and in many wealthy families, which in the US have traditional been WASP or Jewish, thin has always been the beauty standard. I wonder if that will change as "thicc" has come in, and as young men get more money

Ya. My ex (now owns his own law firm, handsome) was totally averse to fatness or even any extra chubbiness anywhere. It grossed him out. He was a jerk, but I guess that's a data point for this theory.

I think younger men in general love this type too (I am a young woman and most of the young men I know also prefer "thicc" women). So I truly wonder if this is a generational thing. Because for most of the 60s and 70s and 80s or whenever boomer men were growing up- the body type fad was for very thin, Farrah Fawcett "you could bounce a quarter off her bum" women?

I wonder how that has changed in the last decade or will change once younger men start amassing more wealth

Doesn't matter if the face is pretty if the body is a wreck. Those men aren't going to bother with the face if the body is a turn-off. Not saying for everyone but OP is asking about a specific demographic. The face doesn't compensate for everything else.

This is probably a big part of it. A woman with a truly beautiful face like the above mentioned females is not exactly common. Most people, men or women, have to settle for whatever is around them.

Yes, same with my exH. He also didn't like large butt and large saggy tits. All his women were the same since his early 20s - all had very thin boyish figures

I agree with this but I'm not really talking about a body that's a wreck. Like I totally and fully understand why men OR women want to be with someone who is, say, obese or severely overweight. I'm just saying I see many wealthy men married to very thin women who are otherwise not very attractive facially. Like... no offense to her but, say, Mackenzie Bezos. I guess I just dont really understand it.
