Merger w/ MD is not part of his campaign, he's said he won't pursue it on the Council. He sees statehood as going nowhere, merger was just a way to get voting rights. |
I think the food delivery drivers are hanging out there. It's close to a bunch of fast casual restaurants that people are ordering Ubereats, etc. from. |
Naw. It’s probably the smoking section for PIW staff. |
Washington would be the largest city, but in the state of Maryland. I’d sure rather have Gov Wes Moore or Gov Hogan than Gov Bowser! Maryland knows how to deliver state services far better than DC. A lot of DC politicos view statehood as a public Jons and patronage gravy train. And it would get us two senators and likely another congressional seat. Plus, some DC residents would be represented by Jamie Raskin rather than EH Norton. Seems like a sweet deal to me! |
It would be nice if the Second District police actually walked out of the station and walked a regular beat it the area. It’s harder to see what’s going on from behind the tinted windows of a cruiser. |
Isn’t this what you call vibrant Urbanist mixed-use density? |
Unchecked capitalism! |
| Celebrate Vibrancy!!!! |
| This would not happen at Wegmans. City Ridge has a more upscale vibe than Giant. |
|
Giant has never been good at managing its cathedral commons space.
|
Just wait until they open the Lidl next door. |
Does Lidl attract a bad element ? Uptown Place is supposed to be rather upscale. |
The Giant plaza attracts its share of panhandlers. Letting Giant employees take their smoking break at the front entrance is a turn-off as well. |
Lidl is the most downscale supermarket that exists. I think everything they sell is castoffs, including the produce. |
This. Voting for Krucoff in a desperate attempt to hold on to some level of sanity in NW DC. |
