You mean Krucoff >> https://www.davidforward3.com Favors funding to fill MPD vacancies, remove homeless encampments, require housing voucher holders to accept supervision, support vast majority of voucher holders who obey the law and don't add to disruption, allow landlords to screen for criminal background, vote against lighter sentences for violent crime, enforce rules against fare gate jumpers. His opponent Frumin wants to search for the "root cause" of crime - which is leftist politicians like him! |
Sadly, I think this is a good analogy. |
Maybe it’s time for you to question whether what the Democrats tell you to scare you away from voting for anyone else… |
Oh, so now I'm some sheeple and you're this all-knowing genius? Hey over yourself. I see you for what you are and it's disgusting. I'm not a fan of mainstream democrats, but mainstream republicans are far worse. And don't get me started on the human trash that is your far right. |
Then enjoy your crime, defunded police, mentally ill homeless running amok and putting tents everywhere, 12 year olds carjacking people, the odor of pot everywhere and druggies panhandling and everything else that makes people leave the city. Enjoy and quit complaining. This is what you voted for. |
landlords can’t screen for criminal background? |
| (b)(1) Before making a conditional offer, a housing provider may not make an inquiry about or require an applicant to disclose or reveal a pending criminal accusation or criminal conviction. |
+1. There are several progressive cities on the west coast that are about 10 years ahead of DC on this race to the bottom. Hollowed out, crime infested, drug infested, and no families. We have a little time to course correct, but not much. |
That would not be so bad, except for this. (e)(1) A housing provider shall not base an adverse action solely on a prospective tenant's credit score or lack thereof, although information within a credit or consumer report directly relevant to fitness as a tenant can be relied upon by a housing provider. |
“Several”? I think you mean just one. |
Because politicians of any party need to fear losing in order to be responsive to their voters... |
|
Krucoff has vocally advocated for DC retrocession. That automatically disqualifies him.
I've voted for Democrats and Republicans. I like some of his positions. But this transcends party for me. I will never support a candidate who wanted to completely take away my city's identity, autonomy, and independent representation in the federal government. Never never never. |
This is why we no longer rent out our perfectly nice, metro access rental income unit. Being a landlord in DC is nuts. Not worth it. What housing crisis? |
Oregon is about to elect a Republican Governor for the first time in 70 years. The sane people who are left want to protect their childrens futures from people like you. |
|
David would be an excellent addition to the council. An individual with real world experience and not some left of left policy wonk. Unfortunately, mainly for DC, it won’t happen. Better we stick with the poor education, bad healthcare, lack of affordable housing, violence plagued model/path we’re currently employing.
