the last time Capital was a top team nationally was the 2017 team, since then the dilution of talent has put them solidly in the second tier as far as competitiveness against the MD and NY programs. Capital used to get all of the local talent now they are split amongst other programs and yes they do play for MD teams as well.

| MD teams are snake pits and the real talent is looking south for more playing time, a better experience - and better schools. Who can blame them - this PP’s nonsense is a perfect example of what you’ll find there. |
This is a fact. Also, debating MS girls as lacrosse players today at age 13/14? A lot of top players at this age will burn out or "even" out with the pack and decide they do NOT want to play all the time or at a high level. HS can be a game changer for young athletes who decide they want to have a balance with their school/sports/social life. I am curious if there is a parent on this thread who would know the attrition rate for the DMV girls that end up playing in college. D1 vs. D3? I bet those numbers speak volumes..... |
What makes them Snake pits? Do you have first hand experience there? |
2024 Capital was ranked #8 2025 was ranked #10 Maybe thats not a top team but top-10 seems pretty good. Being that BLC is untypically great at 2027, I'd bet Capital 2027 is top-10 as well. |

Hopefully yesterday settled the 2027 Pride vs. Stars debate for the balance of the year.
While Stars may be marginally better, they are not close to being ready for prime time. |
| What are you talking about? star light blue 27 didn’t even play in the top bracket… |
| Bizarre. Let’s table this discussion for a few months. Stars 2027 has some work to do to catch up for years of neglect and weggies from uncomfortable shorts. Give KJ some time. Girls are putting in the work. They’ll get there. |
And the BLC vs. Pride debate too.... |
That's the point. and they couldn't even win that bracket. |
| BLC>Pride>Stars - Debate settled.... |
| BLC 27s have been ranked in the top 10 for years....not sure when or how this ever became a debate? For other age groups sure but not at 27 |

2021 was Top 5 with M&D, SW, LIYJ and Dewlax |
Wasn't this already decided? That's pretty common knowledge. |
So hold up....just looked at NGLL results from this spring. BLC beat Pride by 1 and Stars by 3. This is settled business? I guess our definitions of a settled debate are different but I'm happy for you that you got to write it down. |
