Three of the four losses to those teams were by a goal. They are right there with them. |
| I think the point was, if you’re used to playing the M&D’s and Hero’s Greens, Eaglestix doesn’t scare you. Top team for sure, but not better than what’s in Baltimore. |
| ES is capable of winning any tournament and there’s maybe 5-6 teams who can realistically say that. |
All that is important is your team has the opportunity to play in the top brackets at tournaments. Be competitive in these games and your team will continue to play the best teams. These are the games college coaches want to watch. Winning and losing doesn’t mean anything to these coaches. Go out there and perform against the best and you will get noticed. The end goal for most playing at this level is to earn an offer from a school they want to attend, not win a tournament t-shirt. |
Is that exerpt from the book, "things losing teams say?". The DC teams love to say that winning games isn't important its the college recruiting that matters. Losing all the time can wear you down. A tournament tshort does actually matter to a 13 year old. Their longterm plan isn't really college at this point even if you can see that as a parent. |
That’s what the top talent says. The others have parents who say a tournament t-shirt matters. |
The top talent that continues to leave for the better clubs in MD? Better player development, competition and coaching. DC fans, keep reading that losing for dummies book. |
My daughter would rather play top teams and lose than will a bunch of easy games. Most competitive girls would say that same. |
New to the story here. So are you saying good talent in VA is leaving their local clubs to play on MD clubs, making those teams over MD players thus pushing MD players further down the bench that focusing on winning t-shirts has now become what is most important to them? |
Folks: This is the 28 BLC dad who didn’t have a path to Capital and repeatedly says this nonsense to justify his (not her) decision. Does anyone know who he is? |
| debating middle school lax at this point is dumb. Pride, BLC, and a few stars will combine next summer and make a team that will compete with most and this conversation becomes a moot point. Just ride out the fall, winter and spring . |
No one is forcing you to come to this site and post. If you think its "dumb", kindly leave, thanks. |
Queue up the Unsolved Mysteries theme song. Didn't all the good BLC 28 players leave for Hero's Green and Next Level? Someone is left stuck on a bad BLC 28 team and salty. |
It's funny that you think you started a trend ... You're an anomaly. Everyone knows the BLC 27s are locked for Capital. As will the 29s ... and the 30s ... and so on ... and so forth. |
| Thanks for clarifying as I have always wondered who keeps starting this debate. Again, all four.... M&D Capital Heros and Skywalkers are the real deal. No argument. Move on. |
