Daughter actually got an earlier DUI charge a few years ago but it was dismissed when the officer didn’t show up to the hearing.

I love my friend but I hope her daughter gets her ass handed to her in court this time.

The woman (nurse) in La Brea - did she have a medical emergency or something? Was she drunk? That accident has to be more than just distracted driving, right?

The woman in LA (actually is from Houston, was a nurse who was visiting) is going to be charged today. Was she suffering a medical emergency? My guess is NO, as they showed her sitting on the curb surrounded by witnesses. She was sitting upright. My guess is she was intoxicated but that is just my guess.

How dp you blow through an intersection going 100 mph, hit more than one car, and survive?

Everyone is saying it's the great build of the Mercedes and that the impact was to the front of her car. Our cars are less strong on the sides.

Was it true that she was holding a camera out of the window?

I have very little sympathy for Heche. She chose to drive impaired. I wish the Hollywood celebrities who are expressing sympathy would also express some sympathy for the poor woman whose home was demolished.

You can have compassion for both.

No compassion for drunk drivers. None.

Also she would have died if she had hit a FIXED obstacle, like a wall or large tree. By hitting objects that could move (like other cars in an open space) much of the force of the collision was transferred to them.

"attempted murder" shows intent. That said, she'll go down for vehicular manslaughter at a minimum. i hope. Same with the woman who killed those 6 innocent people.

She didn’t kill anyone so she’s not going to get charged with manslaughter.

Those poor innocent families right in her path wuth her going 100 mph. Beyond terrible. I'd rather be dead than live with the guilt that I'd killed them.

News was reporting she was in stable condition. Her rep this evening said she’s in critical condition and did not regain consciousness.

“She has a significant pulmonary injury requiring mechanical ventilation and burns that require surgical intervention. She is in a coma and has not regained consciousness since shortly after the accident.”

She's a drunk

Anne Heche slurred her way through a podcast that was posted hours before her horrifying high-speed crash — saying she was downing vodka and wine after being “rocked” by a “very bad day.”
