Actress Anne Heche severely burned in fiery car crash

I remember Anne Heche as an actress in a soap opera I watched in the 1980s/90s.

She won a Daytime Emmy for her role of evil twin Vicky Hudson soap opera Another World, now off the air.

I think she was in a relationship with Ellen Degeneres, prior to Portia Rossi.

In 2001 she wrote a memoir, Call Me Crazy.

Does anyone else remember her? How didn't this woman get help?

Very sad, but glad she didn’t hurt anyone other than herself. That does appear to be a liquor bottle in the car. Hope she survives, heals, and gets the help she needs.

She is a fairly good actress, plagued with personal drama.

It’s a miracle that no one else was hurt. I saw a video of her driving down the street (caught by someone’s home security camera) just before she first crashed into the garage. She was driving exceedingly fast on a very quiet street.

Maybe she did get help. Maybe as she aged her brain chemistry changed and whatever medication she’d been taking hadn’t been tweaked yet. Maybe she fell off the wagon. We don’t know.

She was in one on my favorite indie films of the 1990’s - Walking and Talking.

It’s terrible that the paparazzi were able to buy and publish these photos. They are vultures.

How terribly sad. The photo of her lying face down on the stretcher is a little reassuring in that she still has her hair and her face is probably okay if she lying that way, so her head may have been spared. And the burns on her back could be worse. And she was apparently sitting up on the stretcher at one point.

She's probably in a medically induced coma for burn care and pain management. If she's an addict, this is going to be a rough recovery.

I, too, used to watch her as Vickie/Marley on Another World back in the day. She was a force on the small screen.

+1. My reaction was wow, she's hardly aged.

With her fair skin and hair, makeup makes a big difference. In the photo, it looks like her blond eyelashes are bare.
