Undergrad engineering suggestions

So much for this thread. Some nut has to coopt it with alternative interpretations of nu. This has always been used on this forum for Northwestern. When I mentioned nationally known, I was referring to recognition, not search engines.

Can someone who is cogent comment on the engineering questions?

Northeastern is also nationally recognized receiving close to 100K applications from all over the nation and the world.
I don't mind other schools using NU, but you have a weird fetish and obsession.

Nationally speaking NU = Northwestern, NEU = Northeastern. Are you a first time parent? This is nothing new.

Nobody. Facts don't require authority.

If she wants to do engineering RPI is another option. She will definitely get a boost for being a woman there.

???? I just want to know about engineering, not get spammed by a mid tier school or unheard of schools when someone writes "NU" which had meant Northwestern on this board for ages. There are several others explaining the same. But, maybe I'm not surprised at your resort to hype and name calling. Can someone please talk about engineering w/o spam?

Anonymous wrote:Look into the 3+2 engineering programs. That's what I did. 3 years at SUNY and 2 years at Columbia SEAS

Caltech, MIT, Columbia, Dartmouth dual degree programs with liberal arts schools are all competitive and expensive.

Paying 2 years at Columbia better than paying for four

Except the 2 yrs at SUNY looks like 2 years at CC. They probably gave out As like candy.

NOT TRUE. Many of the SUNY schools are excellent.

How has your career turn out when people realize you were just a transfer student originally from SUNY?

You are an idiot nothing wrong with SUNY at all. Paying upwards of 70,000 for schools like USC absurd

USC is a T25 school with very strong engineering/CS. Science, business and Cinematic Art. If you have to fullpay its one of the great options like 25th best out of hundreds of schools

What if you need FA? I think DD would love it, but we can't afford full pay. HHI is under 150K

Then you'll get FA if you are qualified just like any other school.
Nothing special about USC

My kid got 50% tuition scholarship and very happy in USC
Kid also got 100% tuition from UF, but we chose USC.
Toyota camry does fine job but some people pay extra to get BMW Benz Porsche. Nothing is wrong with either choice all depends on your preference and situation
