That's correct. But in fairness to the democrats I am not sure how they can legislate under the electoral college. People forget how difficult it is for democrats to win senate seats in some of the red states. Let's see how the democrats do in the next senate races in Florida, Georgia, Arizona, and Pennsylvania. |
No not stunned. These are the correct decisions and should never have been made in the first place. Congress should have addresed abortion. They are the failure here. It was never a Consitutional protection. The religion stuff is right. Read the 1st amendment. Courts went sideways on this long ago. |
Louder for those in the back - the ones who will attack you for merely writing this. Excellent post. |
DP. Who is “imposing Christianity” on you? All the SC did was place the issue of abortion with the states to decide. Vote accordingly. No one is forcing anything on you, but everyone is certainly entitled to vote on the issue. It should never have been legislated by the SC in the first place, which is the whole point. And I’m pro-choice. |
DP. You can repeat this lie as much as you want, but no one lied. Period. Try acting like an adult. |
DP. They lied. |
Which Republicans have even suggested this? We’ll wait while you lie and lie some more. |
This ^^^ |
It's not a lie, it's the truth. - DP |
Exactly. This is a job for Congress and the democratic process - good for the justices for recognizing this. They’re not there to legislate. |

This “states rights” thing is what is scaring me.
About ten years ago I was a BBQ in central Virginia (I grew up in the northeast). This highly educated guy was saying that the civil war wasn’t about slavery it was about states rights. Was first I heard that and thought he was bonkers. Gave him a “you’re kidding, right?” look. He was dead serious. Over the past ten years I have met many people who use “states rights” as the ONLY reason for the civil war. Okay for states to decide about slavery; now it’s okay for states to tell women they have to stay pregnant. Frightening. |

Trump promised to "MAGA" -- which was always code for "like it was in the 1950s."
Obviously more work to do, but they're off to a great start! |
