I'm the NP PP. So I just went to the anti-DFER website so I could see what the other side was saying, since I am new to this fight, but I can't substantiate the claims they're making about funding. The blog that is behind this website "DFER watch" or something seems to have been shut down.
If you click on any of the links where they make their own claims about sources of funds (because I want to see if they're cherry-picking funding sources), you go to their Wordpress and see "dferwatch.wordpress.com is no longer available. This site has been archived or suspended for a violation of our Terms of Service." Honestly that gives me serious pause about anything on this website. |
Wait, I really can't substantiate anything. The dferdinos website tries to prove that Walmart gave them 1.1 million dollars by linking to this article: https://www.huffpost.com/entry/how-gloria-romero_n_1949758
If you click on the link for the source about the 1.1 million in the article, you get directed right back to the broken dferdinos website. That's circular. This is how QAnon people work. |
Is *not* insane, oops. |
Wow who would have thought that the unions are just as shady as the people they are calling shady, who also happen to be their political opponents. My stars. |
Hi. Can you show me where to find the state level filings? Thank you, friend. |
Here's a guide to how they operate from the Center for Media and Democracy: https://www.prwatch.org/news/2016/03/13065/how-dfer-leaders-channel-out-state-dark-money-colorado-and-beyond You can follow the sources for some of it (990 forms from non-profits), but they purposefully obscure donors to DFER by finding it via ERN |
Wait, I am confused. I don't see a link to a state filing in here. I went to all of the links but they were broken. |
How do you find the 990 forms which show the walmart donations. Thank you. |
https://www.guidestar.org/ The article will help point out which entities are taking and doling out money - it's a lot of research |
Thank you. I typed in "Democrats for Education Reform" and went through all 10 pags of results but it wasn't there. Do I need to type in something else? |
I think it is bad if walmart is giving money for races in DC but I want to know |
If you read the article you can find the other involved entities. ERN/ERNA |
It's also Walton (of Walmart) you'll find, not Walmart, making donations |

So at one time, they gave a very small grant to someone who was affiliated with DFER in Washington and not DC? |
