This. You don’t even have to take our word for it. Just look at the Trevor Noah piece, the videos of her wearing a mesh mask at a public meeting (she was so proud of this) and her very public testimonies in the BOE website. You actually don’t have to say anything negative about this candidate. She’s her own worst promoter. |

I love that someone on DCUMS is attacking Dawn Innaco-Hahn! It means that there is blood in the water, folks!!! My guess is the board is afraid of what other Wolff BS she'll expose in public!!!! Here's a link for you all - this is an example of what the poster says is "no capacity for actually handling herself." Ms. Innaco-Hahn is exactly what we need right now - someone to stand up to Wolff's BS!!! "Here’s the video proof that @mocoboe prez @brendawolff1 ignored a student request for a moment of silence for the families of @MCPS who have lost a child to a disease of despair. We will not forgive or forget your callousness tonight Ms. Wolff." https://mobile.twitter.com/brendawolff1/with_replies |
That child was speaking completely out of turn and it was an attention seeking stunt from their mother. There is no excuse for someone to be wearing a mesh mask when the rules required masking. If she cannot follow the rules, what kind of example will she set? She is an embarrassment. |
No excuse? A child? What kind of sicko are you??? I hope you don't ever deal with kids. |
She is using the child as a puppet and she, or you, shouldn't be on the BOE if this is your/her behavior toward others. As an adult, you teach a child boundaries and not to speak out of turn. And, to stay on topic. This was a show. She is an embarrassment and using her kids as she is, shows what kind of person and "therapist" she is. There was zero excuse for putting others lives at risk with her mesh masks. She makes a spectacle of the BOE and any issues, even the ones she is trying to be helpful with. |
The BOE makes their own bed to lie in. There is nothing more fitting than I can think of than Dawn Innaco-Hahn going line-by-line over Brenda's MCPS budget. Watch the video's carefully, I don't think they deserve the deeply personal attacks you're advocating. |
Dawn is great. She doesn't mince words. This will be refreshing and I can see the BOE actually accomplishing things if she is elected. Seeing all this negativity (probably from one person) makes me think they feel threatened. Good. |
Have you ever watched a BOE budget meeting? It's hardly "Brenda's budget." She and the other members listen to staff tell them what's in the budget. It's Central Office's budget, at least at first, and then it's County Council's budget. |
The, the BOE are just tokens in MCPS. MCPS makes the budget from the money allotted so it starts with Central Office. |
The real power board members have is in 1) hiring and/or retaining the superintendent and 2) setting policies. They of course will also vote on approving budgets, capital projects, new boundaries, administrative appointments, etc., but that's all the actual work of central office staffers. |
Uh oh here come the Reopen MoCo school crazies with their ludicrous spin on undisputed facts. Yes, you’re right! Dawn is the best! Michael Fryar and Dawn are completely sane! Nothing at all to see here! How could we ALL possibly be wrong!?? |
| Does anyone have a picture or video clip of Innaco-Hahn in a mesh mask at BOE meetings? If this is true, that is disturbing to me. Considering how many people I know—including family member and friends—who suffered from COVID-19 and/or or lost loved ones to this disease, I will not vote for anyone who would be irresponsible enough to disregard the mask mandate that was in place and risked the lives of others. In my opinion, that demonstrates a lack of judgment, concern and respect for others. |
Face covering means a covering that fully covers a person’s nose, mouth, and chin and is secured to the person’s head, including cloth face coverings, scarves, and bandanas. It does not include face covering with a valve; or solely wearing a face shield. Sounds like a mesh mask could meet the requirements in the mandate. It would do about as much as cloth masks on kindergarteners. |
