I'll vote for the crazies. At least they might shake things up a bit.

And, both of those are partly to blame by the activist parents who don't believe in homework or their kids should struggle. Basically they cannot be bothered so what happens at school needs to stay at school.

Really activist parents who don’t believe in homework or a school system that believes in the studies that determine how much homework should be give. At each level?? And be careful, some of those people who don’t want to do homework when there kids come home after school are your neighbors.

And, that is why my neighbors are complaining their kids are struggling. Without practice it’s hard to get good at math or writing or much else.

Where are you in school? Our kids get plenty of homework. At Robert Frost and Wootton. And no, I will not be voting for these nut jobs who also bullied the SMOB.

We do too and are at Cabin John.

We've been at multiple schools the past few years. Very little homework in MS.

If I see any of their names on the ballot (Wolff, Silvestre, Docca, Evans, Harris, Joftus, Smondrowski), the other candidate will get my vote no matter what.

Your post displays your ignorance of who's even up for reelection.

Why do you think the PP was only referring to the 2022 election?

I see you're still upset Sunil lost despite your precious Apple Ballot endorsement.

Thank you. It’s one of the reopen mcps moderators/administrators. Lots of extreme statements with no support. They love to stalk this site.

No, but thanks for playing.

I'm just a parent fed up with the corruption, private agenda and blatant distain the board has shown for academics, especially the magnet program.

Because it's 2022. And this thread is about the upcoming BOE races.

And sorry, Sherlock, I voted for Lynne, not Sunil.

Oh, and lets not forget their role in handling the January school closing debacle and selection of McKnight. They've all got to go.

Ummm worst news ever. Please, someone else run. We don’t want these two deciding mcps policy for the next couple of years. Dawn is tone deaf. And Dawn don’t try and get this post removed like you usually do. As a candidate, you are now subject to public scrutiny. So heckling people at BOE meetings, wearing a MESH mask to BOE meetings (well before the mandate was lifted) in order to antagonize the BOE and those who were masked and picking on the SMOB are all things you will have to answer for.

I am voting for Dawn to avoid future school closures- closing schools was horrible for kids, and the most vulnerable suffer the most. We need school board members that weigh issues and put kids first. We need folks not afraid to annoy unions, MCPS pays so well we don’t need to make our kids suffer to placate teachers. Also I think a partnership with teachers is important- just not at the expense of kids!

You did that in 2016. How’d that turn out for you?

DP. I didn’t vote for the orange man-baby, but with the exception of screwing up the Supreme Court, it wasn’t as bad as I feared. Dawn wouldn’t be able to individually appoint anyone to a lifelong appointment, so I’m not worried about what she’d be able to do.

My TPMS kid has 1-2 hours most nights and even some on the weekends.

Dawn has no capacity for actually handling herself. She doesn't know how to control her emotions and handles herself like a poorly behaved child rather than an adult with critical thinking skills. She is absolutely not the solution, she is just more of the problem. Just because she agrees with no school closures doesn't mean she's a good candidate for the school board.
