Didn’t the filing deadline pass weeks ago?

I moved mine and am moving him back next year but I certainly would not conduct myself in the manner she does nor would I act like I am an authority on a school system that my kids haven't participated in the last two years. A lot of the behavior I've observed from her has been extremely childish. I was actually AT the meeting where she wore that silly mesh mask. I was there with my elderly mom who is a retired educator and was interested in hearing about the mental health issues at MCPS. At the time the mandate was still in place - I know she didn't like the mandate but it was still in place at the time. If you're fine acting like that, what are you teaching your own kids?

Also, to be so critical of others, she is way too thin skinned. She's basically been on Fox News for the past two years squawking about how horrible MCPS is but when you mention her on here, she and the other MCPS administrators immediately report the post. How are you going to run for office when you can't stand to be criticized but want to dish it out??

She is teaching them that rules don't apply to them. If MCPS is so bad, why leave one child in? It sounds like this child needed more support regardless of covid, and like many of us, MCPS wasn't responsive. But, that may not have been because of virtual.

And I shudder to think that I might have to vote for Silvestre, given that Fryar seems mentally unstable and Giandomenico doesn't seem capable of substantive thought.

Doesn’t seem capable of substantive thought? What does that mean?

He uses a lot of words but doesn’t manage to say anything.

Oh, Lord. Maybe I can get my Labrador puppy to run.

Dawn rewatches her old testimonies and “shakes” because she is so powerful. Her own words. You can find that gem on her twitter page. She thinks she alone can save MCPS? This lady is delusional at best.

I know Dawn is crazy but Micheal Fryar is so far up his own ass. Also I have to link his so called homeschooling plans that were supposedly aligned to the 4th grade curriculum https://michaelfryar.com/constructivist-lesson-plans-4th-grade/

Ummm worst news ever. Please, someone else run. We don’t want these two deciding mcps policy for the next couple of years. Dawn is tone deaf. And Dawn don’t try and get this post removed like you usually do. As a candidate, you are now subject to public scrutiny. So heckling people at BOE meetings, wearing a MESH mask to BOE meetings (well before the mandate was lifted) in order to antagonize the BOE and those who were masked and picking on the SMOB are all things you will have to answer for.

I'll vote for them if they're on the Apple ballot.

Sounds like they would make a mess of things, but I think that appeals to many of the far-right posters who would love to see public schools fail.

A bit like the R party as a whole.

Why wouldn’t you consider Coll? Of what I’ve read so far she’s more appealing to me than the other two.

I’d like to hear more about the story behind Fryar being mentally unstable! I recall watching a forum when he was running against smondrowski but don’t know much otherwise.

Guys, can we please stop with the bullying

Board members, and board candidates, shouldn't get criticism like this. It's beneath us

You’re new here, huh?

Ha!! Anyone who has observed these two over the last couple of years, knows they are fair game for criticism.

I personally appreciate the additional info, so I can make the right choices, when I vote. If they want to run for office, they have to be willing to withstand public scrutiny like all other candidates for public office. Considering that they want to make decisions on behalf of our children, BOE candidates should be held to a high standard.
