Help me get past my hangup with the Subaru image!

Anonymous
I bought one. I fit the urban hipster outdoorsy bill and had a dog at the time. I don't love it, though. I don't have a GREAT reason. The outback is just too big (I wanted a station wagon or hatchback really). The info-tainment system is poorly designed. And it just felt less lux than my previous car, a VW Golf, which was not even a lux car.

Not familar with the accent - but I'd probably not buy subaru again.

OP here. Me neither and this thread didn’t help. Just couldn’t do it.

But the image you have doesn’t even exist

But I’m totally hung up on the fact that it’s a Subaru! We are not urban hipsters and we are not outdoorsy. We don’t camp or kayak. We are also not LGBT (not that there is anything wrong with that.) We are boring average suburbanites.

So what is my hangup? Shrink me because I want to want this car.

Okay, Karen

Probably for the best. Nothing worse than outing yourself when you pull up to your megachurch on any given Sunday.

I like that it is more metal than plastic. Love the 4 WD part.

Also, did you seriously say "not that there's anything wrong with that"?? WTF????

What's wrong with being a lesbian?

That’s a Seinfeld reference that probably went right over your heads because you’re too young to have watched it.

LOL. I'm the PP and the one who first posted the line to be funny. Not sure why someone took offence at a simple joke. I was in 7th grade when the show premiered, FWIW.

Liar. I posted the bolded and it was because I knew it was a Seinfeld line that I posted it. OP did not post that ironically and I had to call her out on it.

WOW. Sorry you're an ignorant, biased homophobe. Gross.

I know! There are so many Subaru drivers in my area and they are all UMC moms in heterosexual marriages.
