This is such a silly statement. What does the length of time of this pandemic have to do with infection rates (sky high), death rates (sky high), and transmissibility (with omicron, very high). You sound childish. Whether two months, two years, or five years, wearing masks to protect the continued spread of this virus is common sense. |
|
Depends on which study you look at. The "science" says that N95 masks reduce transmission. And, those have to be fitted properly. Do a little research. |
I am vaxxed, boosted, and have had Covid along with my family and most of my friends and coworkers. I have worked in person throughout this pandemic, as has my spouse, while our school aged kids were in daycare. Not every job can be done from your basement while you wait for Amazon Fresh to bring your kombucha. I am done with masks and I am done with karens trying to tell me how to live my life. If you want to walk around wearing a properly fitting N95 respirator, fine, have fun with that. Fear is not virtuous. |
95% of the people in that store appear to be masked. Youngkin did not read the room. |
Who cares? If they are wearing their properly fitted n95 masks they are extra extra super safe from the virus that presents no meaningful risk to them if they are vaccinated. Of course they can still take their mask off to hit happy hour with their friends... |
What a hypocrite YOU are. You wanna complain about "karens" yet here YOU are, karening your head off hiding behind an anonymous message board on a daily basis. Take a long hard look in the mirror at yourself. |
![]() Telling people, "you do you, leave me out of it," is the opposite of being a karen. |
So if 95% of the people in a room are snorting coke, everyone should be? |
Seriously, both of my under 5 kids have recently had covid and literally all they did was sneeze a little bit more. No fever, no lack of energy, no coughing, nothing. We were lucky, but it’s not unusual. But they’ve been out of daycare for 2+ weeks at this point. People need to get over it and with testing negative taking 10 days on pcr it is some BS. |
+1 I thought resisting peer pressure and sticking to one’s convictions were the ideal goals. Now the diehard maskers are apparently in ideological agreement with the Borg. |
What prompted your decision to test them? |
Actually, this is a good thing. As soon as more than half of Alexandria takes their masks off the other half is obligated to immediately take theirs off as well. Why do I suspect this is going to be another case where this doesn't work in reverse? |
The right wing anti-maskers and anti-vaxxers are far worse where it comes to mindlessly behaving like the Borg Collective. They are mentally locked into irrational blind faith that if they ignore covid enough, if they fight against masks and vaccines hard enough, it will somehow magically go *poof* and disappear. |
Afraid to face constituents, even some tiny woman. He has no business being in politics. |
