The egregious and extremist act that didn’t even happen?

What are you talking about? Virginia isn’t closed and people are already working?

+1 The current Virginia unemployment rate is 3.4%, you wackos.

Virginia's GDP has taken a nose dive. It's not going to recover by itself.

Facts are irrelevant. Feelings matter.

That was addressed pages ago. You should go back and read instead of making entitled demands for others to do the work for you.

Really? That’s interesting since BEA shows Virginians GDP increasing meaningfully each of the first three quarters of 2021, more than the drop for all of 2020. Four quarter numbers aren’t in yet, but given how much revenues exceeded projections through December, it seems unlikely GDP will drop in the fourth quarter.

We will see. If there was any recovery, it was at the expense of small business and almost certainly centered on Northern Virginia thanks to the enormous subsidy that is the federal government.

I don't know if the entire division was fired, but I do know that the conviction integrity unit and staff who work on human trafficking issues were fired with no notice. And it wouldn't surprise me if it was broader than that. We all know how Republicans feel about civil rights, after all.

You will need to show your work for that, because it sounds like you are making up facts to support a false narrative.

DP. You mean the lie that the “entire division” was fired was called out? Why, yes it was. This thread is based on the usual liberal hysterics/lies. Miyares is restructuring that division, as every single AG before him has done.

There are plenty of indications that he planned to fire the whole division until the public caught wind of it and he had to pull back. He has already fired many people in the division who were career and not political appointees, which is not typical at all.

Virginia does fairly poorly by any metric.

Until this moment I have never heard of the “conviction integrity unit” and I bet 99% of all
posters in DCUM were in the same boat
unfortunate name - reminds me of a govt agency name The Simpsons would use
It also makes me think this is a smaller unit that has work that could be done by a larger department
anyway I do feel bad for employees who were let go bc losing a job sucks

So because you hadn’t heard of it, it must not be important?
