I can't believe you figured out my master plan to close schools.

It's just great that stores, restaurants, and museums are open and yet we can't manage to make it safe for kids to go to school.

Actually a bunch of store, restaurants and museums are closed right now. So is the zoo.

Actually, only a few stores had to close, not the majority. Most of the Smithsonian museums were open. It obviously takes longer for the Zoo to shovel its walkways.

Unlike most of posters here, I had to leave my house today to go to work in DC. My point is that we always prioritize return to work and spending, and kids are an afterthought.

I-95 turns into 395 which goes through Arlington and becomes I-95 again on the north side of the beltway.

Lots of red neighborhood roads on that map. What's going on in Glencarlyn, though? It's conspicuously well ploughed. Does someone important live there?

Yep, me. Just kidding.

More seriously, though this probably isn't the answer, Glencarlyn barely has any sidewalks on its roads so maybe they prioritized plowing it because they can't rely on neighbors to shovel non-existant sidewalks. That could mean its even harder to get out of that neighborhood than others that have sidewalks.
