People shouldnt let what most people want stop them. Men/ women have to look for just one person who meets their preferences and wants to be with them in return. If you know it's an uphill battle for one reason or the other, you start early and you work harder to overcome.

Lol - I’m actually not sure exactly how tall DH is! And I included the $ at a long list of attributes that I care about more than height - except that one I had no idea about when we got married decades ago, except that we met in grad school so I could have guessed.

Interesting because in my experience (DP), it is the opposite. Men above 6' tend to be with women below 5'5''. Taller women tend to be with men their height or slightly shorter. Tall men seem to like a female partner they can fit right in their pocket.

DC area has notoriously short men. But if you go in New England, Minnesota, Midwest, even Alabama, people are much taller, including women. ITA with tall men dating tall women, I think it's the biological drive to have tall sons.

I'm the "IRL" PP.. I am originally from out west. I don't know what the DC dating scene is like since I'm married, but yes, my observation is from out west.

I don't know that it's about biological drive, though.

5'9 is not bad, but the problem is that most women will assume it's a fake height and a guy is probably shorter.
The only men who don't like about their height online are the ones who are 6'0 and up.
