OP here. I agree with you. I am part of the entire culture and didn’t see it until recently. I am starting to wonder what I’m still missing. Good god it’s everywhere and endemic in everything. The air we breathe.

In all seriousness, I imagine it's impossible to imagine in nuanced ways what the world was like before the internet, personal computers/laptops, Google, Twitter, smartphones, Snapchat, Instagram etc existed and transformed the way we socialize, protest, work and live. Please knock it off with blaming Gen X and Boomer women for not doing more--we would have been as woke as you if we had the technology.
