| This can only be the result of massive republicans voter fraud. |
It’s the results of gerrymandered zones and a really crap candidate at the top of the ticket. |
the result is trying to enact california style gun laws in a state with the firearm ownership rate of texas, ensuring record rural turnout for a largely milk toast republican that wouldn't get much excitement normally. |
| It's the result of more progressive D overreach. Virginia is NOT really a blue state, despite what many of you want to believe. |
| I don’t understand. I was up late watching the WaPo livestream; Congressperson Beyer was unequivocal that we would keep the house. WTF? |
|
it is now saying 52/48 |
Then you aren't paying attention. |
|
| It's the old map. I wonder if someone raises a constitutional challenge based on the census having already occurred and the maps being outdated. |
New map will probably be even more gerrymandered. |
He's always like that. He's smiling, sometimes laughing, and saying, "I'm cautiously optimistic but we will win, don't worry" You should have watched Channel 8/7. They had former Congressmen Davis and Moran, as well as the former head of the Virginia Democratic committee (so 2 Ds vs 1 R) and the entire exchange was very thoughtful, interesting and respectful. I watched it for a few hours (from 7:30-10:30) and all three were in agreement from pretty early on that it was going to be 1) a Republican sweep of the statewide offices, and 2) a very likely chance for an even split or a R majority of the Va house. Moran especially was firm in his belief, and very upset about it, He blamed national politics and his own party for not focusing more on Virginia specific issues. He also said he wasn't surprised whatsoever at the results, even though he wanted it to go the other way. |
New map will be decided by the state Supreme Court |
| How do all the idiots who wanted "divided control" of state government feel now about their vote for Younking? Line up loose gun laws, book banning, defunding public schools, and abortion restrictions. There's no veto and we have Senate with a slim Democratic majority that includes senators who sometimes vote with Republicans on these issues. Cue up Texas life. |
