DP +3. I have voted for only 1 Republican in my life, but the Democratic Party has lost me as a reliable vote. Their brand of crazy is different than the Trump GOP brand of crazy, but at the end of the day crazy is still crazy. |
What did McAuliffe do in his previous term as governor that was too far left? What is he campaigning on now that is too far left? |
So your voting for Youngkin regardless of the issues because Stacy Abrams campaigned for McAuliffe? That’s, um, interesting. |
Aren’t you clever! He’s not “campaigning on it,”. It’s part of the whole d package. |
Is that what Fox News and OAN told you? |
+1 I don’t get it. Someone actually believes those lies? |
| Vote McAuliffe. Had initially been on the fence because the current direction of the Democratic party is too liberal for my taste. But once the Republicans went full hilt on the book banning, restricting the accurate teaching of US history etc. they completely lost me. |
| Do you identify as a woman? How could you vote for The Macker when he accepted TWO six-figure donations from The Burkle-r? |
I do not need someone who can’t with an election in her own state tell me how to vote in my state. Selena Montgomery can go back to Georgia. I am waiting until the last minute to vote in case McAuliffe does more stupid things. Then I will hold my nose and vote for him I can’t wait for the Boomer Clinton Machine to disappear. We finally got rid of the Kennedy’s. |

Youngkin campaign is a bit of a mirage. They are not picking up phones in many places. Calls aren't being returned. Field offices are quiet.
Contact was attempted to the firm of one of the strategists about an ad campaign, and no response. |

One interesting development of the campaign has been the number of times that Glenn Kessler, a Brown-educated, died-in-the-wool Democrat at the Washington Post, has been calling out McAuliffe recently in his fact-checking column for false or misleading statements.
Here's the most recent (McAuliffe's greatly inflating Covid numbers, which Kessler noted "has happened too many times for McAuliffe’s language to be an accident" and earned him "four Pinocchios"): https://www.washingtonpost.com/politics/2021/10/26/terry-mcauliffe-keeps-inflating-coronavirus-numbers/ |
This is weird. The general rule of thumb is to subtract 1 or 2 pinocchios from Republicans, and add 1 or 2 to Democrats, to get the true number. Same with Politifact, which if it's a Republican will say ,' true but because of something he didn't say we rate it partly false'. |
“Died in wool”

That's an interesting take. But PP is saying they are more impressed by a campaign that reaches out to Virginia voters than by a campaign that reaches up to the politically connected. |
OK, dyed-in-the-wool. Give yourself a cookie. |
