If an adult invite says no gifts

Anonymous
No means no. Our landfills are overflowing. It's time people respected boundaries for the sake of your friends and the sake of the planet. Stop valuing junk over people and the climate. We need to rethink gift giving. Save it for kids and be environmentally friendly.

Do not impose you junk on others. You are not giving a gift. You are showing disrespect for your friend and mother nature.

Nobody wants the crystal or a vase. And can you imagine if multiple people brought them crystal or a vase?

I always bring a decorative item for the home and the recipients always love it. I guess it’s something higher class people do, as I was brought up that way

There is no way you were brought up to decorate other people's houses.

The person who thinks she is "high class" is either a troll or delusional.

I’m not a troll. I give exquisite gifts that people love.

It's actually rude to bring a gift when someone said not to. I also don't like it when people bring wine. I drink cocktails--am I now supposed to open that or just keep it or what? I don't even like wine. The compulsive gift giving is just annoying. It means someone needs praise for shopping and being sooooo nice. It's obnoxious. Just show up and be fun. That's really what people want, not your taste in home decor.

This is an appropriate no-gift, because even if you won't drink it your guests probably will.

Link to the type of gift you give. Then we will take a poll.
