Doesn’t make sense that Elite is their 2nd. The outdoor teams have Red as their top. Why would you introduce a new color in between the established ones

They can both be the top team … gets more revenue. The real question is does it matter? The end game for futsal is lame. If you enjoy playing the game, just play it. If you think there is any value in being on the top team versus the second team, there isn’t. Truth be told nobody outside of futsal cares about futsal.

go to cappeli and look for yourself. You can see who is on what team.

Elite is a team that seems to be made up of a lot of 'specialty players' from all over. Red comprises mostly players on Alexandria's year-round outdoor top team. So-they are both good. Truthfully, white also has most of the outdoor red team too since Futsal rosters are half the size.

Now in outdoor: the top team is MLSnext and the second team is now the Red team (used to be top team).

In the youngest years, red would be the top since there is no mlsxnext.

I don’t care about being on top team. If Red really is 2nd then most likely the talent is not as good as Elite so why pay more and play the same level as Elite. Just play the next step down, travel and play less. I really only care about the training and games aspect.

I think they are equivalent. The rosters are smaller in Futsal. So- they basically have to split the outdoor team into two separate teams. They both can't have the same name. That is why the play in the same division/tournaments.

I finally found the right link to the First Touch futsal site complete with registration info. Anyone else participating in this vs other offerings in the area. Seems to be geared more towards Alexandria/Springfield area.

I believe Arlington participates as a club, at least they have past years.

Does Arlington soccer run a futsal league? Their website says they were trying to organize one last year.

I think the top team for futsal is Red.

No. It’s elite. Then red

It is Red, then Elite.

This is correct. Red is at the top, and then the new team is Elite. My theory is that there is enough talent as well as enough interest from the top Pre-MLS and MLS next teams to make almost 2 full futsal teams, so instead of upsetting those top players who maybe are number 10, 11, 12 picks on your MLS next team by putting them on white, you make a new second top team that is in between the two levels and everyone stays happy. But the top team is red. For our age group, the red team was all the same kids from last year's red futsal, except for 2 new kids because there were open spots from kids who had left ASA. Most of the new kids to MLS next outdoor team were put on elite.

They're on the same level IMO. Red tends to have more players who have been playing on red over the years and elite tends to have very good players newer to the futsal ID program from inside/outside club. Other than that, they will play in the same divisions, tournaments, and tournament flights.

No, they don't. Which is why a number of their players tried out for Alexandria's.
