South Mountain Creamery delivery--what's good?

I finally moved off the waiting list and am enjoying their delicious milk products. Looking forward to this week's delivery, which includes produce and their amazing ice cream. Anything else you recommend? And how much do you typically tip the driver?

Tipping is a new construct but I give $5/week now that it's an option (we did it at the holidays before)

Dairy, especially half and half and american cheese (and I use the instant pot to turn their whole milk into yogurt). We get bread too. Got a box of grilling stuff around the 4th that was incredible. You can't really go wrong, but the dairy and meat especially are divine. We've gotten salads and meals too when the hometown harvest stuff sounds appealing and they are also excellent.

The selection right now is a fraction of what they had pre-pandemic

Coffee cake and cinnamon bread if available. All the dairy, of course. I haven't been so impressed with meats. Ice cream was a big disappointment, and I say that as someone who loves ice cream.

I once got the southern comforts box and I wouldn't reccomend it.

What ice cream flavors do you like? I’ve only had two, but they were waaaay too sweet.

Does the tip go right to the driver?

Whole milk and heavy cream are on my standing weekly order. I always get enough extra milk to make yogurt. Also have a recurring order for Zeke's whole bean coffee.

Cinnamon bread is heavenly. I haven't tried the coffee cake but will definitely do so.

Cheese - I've only tried the feta, it's delicious. Can't speak for the other types of cheese.

All milk products - we get whole milk, half and half, and heavy cream. Eggs from the farm. The cream cheese is good. I found the butter too hard, even if I took it out ahead of time, but I also got a tub from a different dairy with my order because they were having trouble keeping up. Maybe theirs is better. Beef products and sausages are good. We just really like glass bottles milk, and it’s nice to just have it show up once a week.

The chocolate milk tastes like a milkshake.

Agree that the coffee cake is amazing.

The meal boxes have been hit and miss for us.

We have a lot of ice cream coming this week so I hope we like it more than pp!

The eggs are so good. My picky eater actually started eating eggs. Never liked eggs before. She is kind of a super taster tho.

The eggs are great. We also LOVE the meats. Especially the steaks. We grill them and OMG. So delicious.

I get the Tell Tale Dark. I like a dark roast. It’s intense but not bitter.
