More emotional "poster shaming" tactics. You are the one who should be embarrassed when you don't have anything objective to offer. The 02 forward playing up is the definition of big and fast. She must be 5'9 at least. The 04 playing up is at least 5'6" and looks to wear a size 10 shoe. An 03 that until her ACL tear was playing full minutes had no first touch, but she was lickety split. I don't deny that they also support the smaller technical players such as the 07 and the 08. They have also played up some 05s that are technical, although no one can deny one is also a big girl. She does have skills though as well. |

Braddock have every team u15-19 in Champions league places. That is very impressive. Only club in the Mid Atlantic conference to do so.
McLean have national champions at u19. Conference leaders at 17s, 16s are getting better. 19s are amazing, could win it all again. Confusing to read from spirit people they don't do well at showcases or nationals. Showcase results are not a reflection of anything, minutes are split, starters don't always play, committed kids sometimes don't travel. Before McLean last year a team from VA never won an ECNL nationals. It is a very high level!!! Spirit needs to fix its own problems 8th of 8 at u15 in conference 6th of 6 in conference at u16/17 |
No, not agreed. Across the club, the majority of the playups are playing up because of their technical abilities and speed of play. Not their size. Good lord stop spreading the misinformation already. |
No objective third party observer agrees with that. Almost none of these girls would play at any other club in anywhere in the country. It shows whenever they play good competition. |
And who are you to make that judgement? Please, inform us. |
That is what is being said by coaches and parents of other clubs alike. You can fight it all you want. So many posters have seen it and said it. People throughout NOVA and at showcases talk about it. |
Complete BS |
LOL!!! Some Spirit playups are the talk of coaches from NOVA to across the country at showcases. LOL!!! Absolutely hands down the absolute stupidest thing ever posted on this forum. |

NEWS FLASH -
EVERY SOCCER CLUB has its issues, pros/cons, and problems that are either being swept under the rug or actually being dealt with. Pick your poison - which club works for you where those negatives don't affect you or your kid, or the effect of those negatives are minimized, or are outweighed by the positives. |

Anyone attend and like what they saw? Does talent appear to be wandering? |

It is possible to be happy with the development of ones own child and not be thrilled with the larger things like team/club performance and other larger club issues. These are not mutually exclusive. The true turning point is when the other issues truly affect your kids development when being either overly critical or voting with ones feet becomes an issue.
The hard part is knowing when that is actually a problem and when it should be a part of their own personal evaluation and that is a personal decision. |

I see this thread has been wrecked again by someone special, with many posts deleted. Doesn’t seem as though the above posts are on topic either, maybe they should have been purged with the rest.
Best of luck to Larry in helping to optimize club operations. He won’t be able to fix the insane parents who comment here, especially the ones who aren’t part of the club but insist on bashing. |
| Yeah, the pro-Spirit person accusing everyone of being a sock puppet seems to have had a number of her posts removed. |
