Seriously stop engaging on this. Who cares if she fills arenas (except for Trump). Is she doing what she needs to do in order to persuade voters in swing states? Different politicians have different ways of doing that. It seems like her campaign is in high gear and working on persuasion and turnout. Which is the only thing we should be paying attention to.

DP. Agreed. Yet some folks here seem to want to continue measuring each others.... crowd sizes.... as proof that they're better. Trump has his rallies. Harris has hers. Neither is indicative of how enthusiastic independent voters are about voting for either candidate. For the most part, independent voters aren't at either candidate's rallies.

And just what kind of fruit loops go to political rallies in the 21st century? Voting for Harris over Trump is a no-brainer but going out of your way to show affection for any major party candidate these days tells me you are gullible, misguided, and not all that bright. Trump is an unhinged loser that has no business with any kind of role in public service ever again and the rest of the national level politicians are bought and paid for puppets that have to prioritize the interests of their wealthy donors ahead of the American people.

I don’t think Kamala Harris is a puppet. She’s not from a rich family, she chose to go to a HBCU, to be a prosecutor, to be attorney general. I see no signs that she’s been using public office to grift the way Trump does. Is she perfect? No. Is she miles better than Trump and am I excited about voting for yes? Yes. Enough so that I had my kids canvas with me in Pennsylvania for hours last weekend. I think they will have a much better shot at a better education system, a safer environment and better opportunities for their future under Kamala than Trump.

So what you are saying is that people who made mistakes governing this country in the past are endorsing her new way forward? I call that progress.

You mean, your former GOP leaders? The fact that so many former members of the GOP at the highest levels of government and the military have endorsed Harris IS meaningful. Where are Trump's endorsements from former President and Vice Presidents? How about his own former VP? No? How about most of his former Cabinet members? No? Hmmm, that's uh...pretty d@mning of your guy.

Her momentum continues! She is firing on all cylinders. The debate was a masterclass in how to disarm a bully.

Harris was Dorothy and looking him dead in the eye and calling him a disgrace and a laughing stock was like throwing water and melting the wicked witch of the west.

This absolutely matters! You cannot measure enthusiasm, but it is what drives people to volunteer, to donate money, to get their friends and families out to vote.

Nobody wants to be on the losers side. People want to vote for the candidate they perceive to be winning.

If the 20,000 attendees did one call shift Harris would reach hundreds of thousand people. Enthusiasm matters. Size actually matters.

Fact check: Harris campaign social media account has repeatedly deceived with misleading edits and captions

https://www.cnn.com/2024/09/14/politics/fact-check-harris-campaign-social-media/index.html

Washington
CNN

A social media account run by Vice President Kamala Harris’ campaign has been repeatedly deceptive.

The @KamalaHQ account, which has more than 1.3 million followers on the X social media platform formerly known as Twitter, has made a habit of misleadingly clipping and inaccurately captioning video clips to attack former President Donald Trump.

Below are eight examples of false or misleading video posts from the account since mid-August, including three from the latter part of this week. All of them have previously been highlighted by an anonymous rebuttal account called @KamalaHQLies, which itself has more than 268,000 followers:

(each example is documented and fact checked, found false, and corrected by CNN)

1. Misleadingly describing a Trump comment about his supporters

An August 17 post from @KamalaHQ strongly suggested Trump had gotten confused about what state he was in during an event in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania. The post said, “Trump: Would that be okay, North Carolina? (He is in Pennsylvania).” It included a six-second video clip in which Trump said, while pointing to his left, “Would that be okay, North Carolina? I don’t think so, right.”

The Harris campaign was explicit about its intentions in the version of the post it made on the Instagram @KamalaHQ account, saying, “Donald Trump is lost and confused.”

But Trump was not lost or confused.

The full video of the rally shows that earlier in the speech, Trump had pointed to the same spot on his left to acknowledge and then speak to a group of ardent supporters from North Carolina, eventually saying, “Thank you very much. North Carolina!” Later, in the moment shown by @KamalaHQ, he pointed to these supporters again and referred to them as “North Carolina.” He had not forgotten he was speaking in Pennsylvania.

The Harris campaign declined to comment on this @KamalaHQ post.

2. Deceptively clipping and misleadingly describing a Trump comment about immigration

3. Deceptively clipping and misleadingly describing a Trump comment about his 2017 Charlottesville remark

4. Deceptively clipping and inaccurately quoting a JD Vance quote about veterans’ health care

5. Deceptively clipping and falsely describing a Trump quote about penalties for damaging monuments

6. Deceptively clipping and misleadingly describing a Trump comment about taxes

7. Cutting out critical words from a Vance comment about unions

8. Falsely describing a comment from a Trump ally

Why is Kamala’s campaign doing this? Isn’t she (and aren’t her people) better than that?

Go Kamala. Fight fire with fire. When the repugs go low, take them to hell. I don’t know what Michelle was talking about with that go higher. Take them out at the knees Kamala. Give them a double dose of their own medicine.

Kamala’s campaign is lying about Trump and Vance so egregiously that even CNN noticed and you think that’s a good thing?

How many of these lies has someone spread here?

CNN is basically entry level Fox these days. This is like when Trump pretty clearly implied people should try drinking bleach or using a light bulb internally but because he didn’t explicitly say those words in that precise order, it was your opinion and the opinion of other RWNJ that the rest of us shouldn’t notice what he suggested.

Trump is frequently lost and confused and when normal people watch the clips in question, the Harris campaign’s read of it is correct. Maybe don’t devote your heart and life to a weird old man with dementia and then be mad when people notice.

There’s no difference between rs and ds.

There's plenty of difference. One believes in democracy, the rule of law, NATO, our intelligence agencies, and focusing on the welfare of the vast majority of its citizens. The other doesn't.

Call her stupid all you want. She’s not. She’s a former prosecutor who has run a campaign with amazing message discipline— and discipline, period. It’s going to be an amazing contrast to Trumps rambling and erratic behavior.

Plus, she’s younger than Trump and much more attractive. I think the visual of youth v age and Trump rambling and her shrugging, saying she can’t respond because he’s incoherent and weird and looking younger and better is a JFK v Nixon moment.

She does not need to be policy heavy to win because Trump’s main policies are grievances and retribution. Her upbeat campaign will do well against that.

Plus, Trump is on his heels. He has yet to find a good response to her. None of his insults are sticking. He can’t even land a good nickname.

Maybe I’m wrong. But, I think Trump looks like Biden did in his first debate when he goes against her. Definitely think more people than normal will tune is.

What is her message though? Other than criticizing Trump and throwing out some grand ideas she can never accomplish, what’s her platform?

If she has one then she hasn’t made it public yet. Maybe at her first press conference this week she’ll tell us.
