You’re living in an alternate reality if you think truckers deserve a militarized police response being justified and being made legally possible by labeling the situation as terroristic in nature, but the BLM protests do not. It’s plain and simple, both this and the BLM riots are opposite sides of the same thing. They were both protests that crossed the line into seriously damaging behavior. Yet many of the posters on here and the media as a whole basically say “truckers bad, BLM good or at least not a serious issue” and then go ahead and downplay trudeau’s fascist response where if trump or a republican did this it would be “right wing fascism”.

In most cities, BLM were a few nights with little violence, most of which was incited by cops.

Portland was the only place that got near the Ottawa fiasco.

Truckers won. The provinces are scaling back the covid mandates. Ontario just did it the other day. Trudeau made a complete mockery of liberalism, and ruined his career and his own legacy in the process. And most progressive left people have shown themselves to be hypocrites. I see it on this thread. It's ok for BLM to hold extensive marches and protests and even have violence and looting and statue topplings because it's "civil disobedience" in the fine tradition of democracy. But when a different side that you disagree with holds a protest it's fascist?

Canadian here - You're blowing smoke where the sun don't shine.

Truckers didn't win anything. Mandates were scheduled to be scaled back and removed before the truckers threw their tantrum. Truckers and their mob of malcontents knew that. As for Trudeau, the majority of Canadians backed him on this. I know this, and I didn't vote for him.
