Canada Truck Convoy, what to think about it?

3/5. It seems a bit silly. The only vaccine mandates for truckers here are for foreign nationals and truckers who cross the borders. Canada isn’t removing their mandate anytime soon. They still won’t be able to cross without a vaccine. They won’t be permitted to block streets for weeks, or bridges for days here.

I guess we could always spread a rumor that the trucks that show up here are being driven by Black men. Police would happily shoot them in that case! Any chance to shoot a Black man.

So people who donated $50 are being sued?

I hope Trudeau suffers politically and personally for his tyrannical actions when this is all over.

Canada is no longer a democracy.

These aren’t protesters. They are economic terrorists. They are using their occupation to wage economic terrorism on the people of Canada. These men (nearly all of these lunatics are men) are responsible for transporting the goods that people need to survive - food, medicine, clothing, etc - and by refusing to work, they are placing everyone in Ottawa in jeopardy. Their right to refuse to work does not trump (pun intended) people’s right to have the things necessary for regular living. They are terrorists who are terrorizing Canadians by refusing to do their jobs.

+1,000. Do you think we went easy on people who sent $50 to Al Qaida? ISIS? Think next time before you find terrorists.

I totally agree. But even if you only call them protesters, protesters get arrested all the time. If you’re going to put yourself out there, part of it is accepting the consequences. Jonathan Turley, The latest normal person to have lost his mind in service of the idiot right wing this week, actually said “By this rationale, they could have cracked down on the Civil Rights movement. They could have arrested Martin Luther King." Well yeah, Martin Luther King was arrested. A LOT. He even wrote a letter from a jail that Turley should probably read. Protesters are arrested. BLM protesters were arrested. Multiple members of Congress have been arrested for protesting voting bills in the past couple years. It doesn’t make the governments arresting them fascist or the leaders of those governments tyrants.

The Montgomery bus boycotts were an economic weapon just as the truck convoy is. And the protestors in Montgomery probably were called traitors and terrorists too. Back then the cops used German Shepards whereas today it is horses in Ottawa. Sadly.

This has been a long time coming in Canada. Government has a lot more control of life up there and most people seem resigned to that fact. Also they don’t have our version of a bill of rights.

The protesters can quit if they want. Those of them who are truckers.

Poll after poll show that the people of the country disagree with their actions.

AND that most truckers are working, not protesting with this group.

These truckers are just a few, your unhinged rant that they are terrorists who are terrorizing Canadinas by refusing to do their job is insane. Thousands of Canadians have been "refusing" to do their jobs(cause scared to work in person bcs of covid) or were forced not to do their jobs by the government for two years now.
Hence, all the people that lost their jobs bcs of shut downs lost it because Canadian govenrment was "terorrizing" the Canadians and not allowing them to earn a living? Right? According to your logic, illogic in your case.
You have no idea what was happening here, so look as to why you think some truckers are obligated to work so you have stuff.
