Do you have to super attractive to find a good man in your 40’s?

My husband wants a divorce. I’m wondering if there’s any hope for a regular skinny fat chick, no Botox, not great at doing makeup or fashion. I just want a nice guy who actually likes and loves me. Possible?

Sure, there are some nice divorcees with baggage out there in their 40's waiting for you.

I'm in my forties and my best relationships have not been marriage oriented. Take some time off from the serious relationships and have fun for a bit.

True. But you’ll date so much differently than before. You’re more self-confident now. No biological clock ticking away.

Try to let go of needing a man. They are a headache!

Use the word “ sensual” in your online dating profile and the men will flock. Good men, as someone said, are hard to find at any age. Good luck!

What do you consider fun? Most women enjoy themselves most in committed relationships and don't get much of out of fwb arrangments. That's why Ashley Madison is filled with men willing to pay for such fwb.

I don’t need a man, but I married for companionship and want that again. I like being married and having a husband.

I hope you find someone, OP.

I have 3 friends, one is mid-40s (2 DCs) and the other two are early 50s (one with 2 teen DCs and another with 3 DCs 8 years old to teen) each of these ladies divorced and are in committed relationships with guys far better than their previous husbands. Friend #1 is set to marry this year a guy who was never married and he makes her super happy. Friend #2 just got engaged to her boyfriend who is divorced with a college age child. Friend #3 is smitten with her boyfriend who is also divorced with a college age and high school child. Your age is not decisive in finding companionship.
